Friday ☀️ 9543

The morning felt fresh and crisp, like the first bite of a cold apple. “Kalte Sophie,” the last of the Ice Saints, still clung to the air, tugging her chill through the trees. I took the round through the Tiergarten, past the sleepy pelicans at the zoo, their feathers puffed up like forgotten pillows. The pink rhododendron near the heart of the park was back in bloom, blazing quietly with color like a whispered secret. I balanced once again on one leg for my breathing and meditation exercises by Neuer See, grounding myself. I didn’t rush back home. I’d made it back just before the forecasted rain, dry and a little proud. There’s a certain calm in catching the rhythm of the day before it catches you.

Der Morgen war frisch und kühl, wie ein erster Biss in einen kalten Apfel. „Kalte Sophie“, die letzte Eisheilige, zog noch ihren kühlen Schleier durch die Bäume. Ich machte meine Runde durch den Tiergarten, vorbei an den verschlafenen Pelikanen beim Zoo, ihre Federn wirkten wie vergessene Kissen. Der pinke Rhododendron blühte wieder, still und strahlend, fast wie ein heimliches Versprechen. Am Neuen See, atmete ich tief und meditierte auf einem Bein stehend. Ich hetzte nicht zurück nach Hause. Ich kam trocken zurück vor dem vorhergesagten Regen, ein bisschen stolz. Es liegt eine besondere Ruhe darin, den Takt des Tages zu erwischen, bevor er dich erwischt.
