The Power of Showing Up Even When You Don’t Feel Like
The Power of Showing Up Even When You Don’t Feel Like.
Good day beautiful ladies.
It feels so good to be here again. Honestly, it’s been a while, and I didn’t realize how much I missed this space until I sat down to write today. There’s something comforting about being here, sharing, reading, and knowing that somewhere out there, someone understands exactly how you feel. Life has been… a mix of everything lately.
Not entirely bad, but not exactly easy either. Just one of those seasons where you’re trying to hold things together, even when you’re not feeling your best. And that’s what brought this thought to my heart showing up, even when you don’t feel like it. Because the truth is, not every day comes with motivation. Not every morning feels fresh and full of energy. Some days, you wake up already tired. Not just physically, but mentally and emotionally. You start thinking about everything you have to do, and instead of feeling ready, you just feel… overwhelmed. I’ve had days like that.
Days when even the simplest things feel heavy. Days when you question yourself, your progress, and sometimes even your direction. Days when you just want to pause everything and breathe. One particular day still stands out to me. I remember I got a cut. It wasn’t anything too serious, just something small—but it hurt enough to slow me down. And honestly, it felt like bad timing. I was already not in the best mood that day, already feeling a bit low and distracted. So when it happened, I just paused. I looked at it for a while, feeling the sting.
But more than that, I felt this deeper tiredness inside me. It’s funny how something small can suddenly make you feel everything at once. At that moment, it wasn’t really about the cut anymore. It felt like everything I had been holding in stress, tiredness, little worries just came to the surface. And I remember thinking, “I really don’t have the energy for today.” I didn’t feel like doing anything. Not being productive. Not talking. Not even trying. I just wanted to rest and forget about everything for a while.
And honestly, I almost did. But somehow, I didn’t completely stop. I didn’t do anything big or impressive. I didn’t suddenly become motivated or energized. I just… did small things. Very small things. I moved slowly. I took my time. I rested when I needed to. I tried to be careful. And even though my energy was low, I didn’t completely give up on the day. At the time, it didn’t feel like anything special. But later, when I thought about it, I realized something important. That day wasn’t about strength or perfection. It was about not giving up completely.
And that, in its own quiet way, is powerful. Because sometimes, we think growth only happens in big moments when we achieve something huge, when everything is working perfectly, when we feel confident and strong. But that’s not always true. Some of the most important growth happens in the quiet moments. The unnoticed ones. The days when nobody is clapping for you. The days when you’re tired, but you still try. The days when you feel discouraged, but you don’t completely stop. The days when all you can give is a little… but you still give it.
Those are the moments that shape you. I’ve come to understand that showing up doesn’t always look strong or confident. Sometimes, it looks like trying your best not to give up. Sometimes, showing up means: Getting out of bed when your body wants to stay in. Doing one small task when you can’t handle everything. Taking a deep breath and starting again. Allowing yourself to feel, but not letting those feelings stop you completely. And sometimes, showing up simply means telling yourself, “I’ll try again tomorrow.” We don’t talk about this enough,We celebrate success, but we don’t always talk about the quiet effort behind it. The consistency. The small steps.
The days that felt like nothing, but actually meant everything. I’m still learning to be patient with myself. Still learning not to compare my journey with others. Still learning that it’s okay to move slowly. Still learning that I don’t have to be perfect to make progress. And most importantly, I’m learning to be gentle with myself on the days I don’t feel okay. Because the truth is, we are human. We will have off days. We will feel tired.
We will feel unsure sometimes. But that doesn’t mean we are failing. It just means we are growing. So today, I want to encourage you, from a very real place: If you’re having a difficult day… If you’re feeling tired, unmotivated, or even a little lost… Don’t give up on yourself.
You don’t have to do everything. You don’t have to have it all figured out. You don’t even have to feel strong. Just do something. Take one small step. Make one small effort. Try again, even if it’s not perfect. Because those small moments matter more than you think. One day, you’ll look back and realize that the reason you made it through wasn’t because everything was easy…It was because, even in your lowest moments, you still showed up.
Thank you so much for taking your time to read this It truly means a lot to me to be here again, sharing with you all. With love and encouragement
