Going to a place far away and having inadequate support is very devastating. I can not entirely relate to how you felt, particularly with the insults, but I know what it's like to be in the university where fingers truly aren't equal and your fingers seem to be the shortest.
Thankfully, you persevered and didn't let the hard time get the best of you, and you're in a much better place now.

Hehehe I'm used to the all fingers not being equal but now that I think about the "fingers seem to be the shortest" it's funny but it speaks volumes.
