Away from 17, A step into 18

Birthdays are such beautiful celebrations which mark the beginning of another cycle in one's life. I celebrated my birthday today and decided to do something creative. I wanted something aesthetically pleasing to the eyes and at the same time served the purpose it was meant to serve. The purpose being birthday themed photos worth sharing on my social platforms to celebrate my 18th birthday.

For this purpose, I scrolled through Pinterest for some Birthday themed photo ideas and I came across some which were really beautiful but didn't really stick out to me. I then decided to do something from my imagination.

For the lighting, I used a torchlight and a disposable cup. I cut off the bottom of the cup so the light can reflect solely on me. I set my phone camera to delay capture to 10s and went ahead to pose. When I was done taking the pictures, I edited them and made them all monochromatic as that was what I wanted for this birthday.

It wasn't really an easy thing to do but I was really really pleased with the outcome of the pictures. They came out really nicely and achieved their purpose.
