Beautiful Sunday - Dead River Wall Visit
The controversial flood control project if the Philippines that caused mass rally yesterday urge me to visit the site of the dead river wall here in Saudi Arabia. We aarw not having a strong rain but the government is always ready having the dead river clean without stagnant and deposit of garbage. I saw the dead river so clean and the solid flood control concrete are so strong with layers.
My boss told me to buy vegetable for the party tomorrow,a celebration of National day. We are expecting visitors of their clan at will be held here at home. So when I was in the city center, I remember the rally in the Philippines. It popped up in my mind to see the wall of the dead river once I visit before. Then I saw a solid wall in three layers and they made it a visiting place if you want. I saw the solid stones being filed near the wall and looked great. They made fish pond on the foot of the stones but still empty. It will become better, there's a building in progress along the way. It's a kind of breath taking soon to cross to the other town connected nearby.
One of the so many strong flood control in the Middle East, though we are not experiencing fllod.
The bridge connecting the nearby town.
See how great the wall located on the top of the wall of the dead river.
I appreciated the government here for being giving priority the safety of the people and not their own pocket. If only Filipino politician are good, our country is not belong to the poor country because we have golds and natural resources. There are si many people men and women who are willing to work abroad to earn dollars that could help the economy. Like me, I am sacrificing myself away from home not only for my love to my family but also being a part of helping the economy but sad to say that there are greedy people who are not satisfied with their wealth. They are already lucky people but their wealth doesn't satisfy and still they steal the money of the people . Sad reality but they did it hearthless.Poor people became poorest below the ground and die poor. If they only have heart of helping the poor, all will be happy when they share their wealth to other people.
I was not watching how the people went to the park, any place in the country shouting and looking for justice. I hope the government will listen and give value to what the people are looking for. The youth are looking for a great leader to guide them for the dying Philippines economy because of the corruption of the politician.
That's all and God bless us All. @ace108 for #beautifulsunday #hiveph and @asean.hive community members , thank you for your support.
This is a fascinating and powerful post. It's so interesting to see the flood control measures in Saudi Arabia and to hear your perspective on the contrast with the situation in the Philippines.
Yes, that's why I decided to visit this place again to compare the situation.
I'm also feel sad about what happen in my country about the issue of flood control. There is nothing what I can do , I'm just a simple residence. Hope someday there will be a good and outstanding leader who will fight, protect, stand our rights and serving the true justice of every people here. I hope they emulate this in other countries. They are very responsible when it comes to planning and making their country beautiful like Saudi Arabia.
We hope for that and never too late for a chance to a better changes.
Hopefully there's a changes at all. Can't wait to see what's the better future on my country.
I admire how you connected your experience in Saudi Arabia to what's happening i the Philippines. I also hope our leaders will listen to the people and work for real change not just their own benefit.
Yes, I am also hoping for that.
