Some incredibly mysterious and exciting feeling came over me when I saw this house...
My daughter came up with the idea: Mom, this house looks like the villa of an unknown drug lord :)
I admired the orange brick fence with the amazing pattern at the height... Blue high semicircular windows... A round balcony above a mysterious stone grotto...
I don't know anything about this house. I tried to find information on Google, but other than the location of this architectural masterpiece, I can't tell you anything!

A mysterious ancient villa on the shores of the Adriatic Sea. Moshchanytska Draga. Croatia.

I sat between the unique stones of the beach and looked at this work of architectural art... I like to give freedom to my creativity and imagine: who owns this house, what life was within its walls. For some reason, the movie "The Godfather" comes to mind... Of course, there lived a shadowy authority, whose life was strict and without the right to make a mistake...

A black metal fence closed the entrance to a mysterious stone grotto, to which a steep staircase in the rock led...
The smell of yellow steppe flowers in front of the entrance enhanced my pleasure of being in this beautiful place.
I imagined the life of the people in this house... The majestic owner standing on the terrace overlooking the sea and looking into the distance to the sea, thinking about his life... He has seen a lot in this life, he has made a lot of mistakes, I guess, and a lot of responsibility is on his shoulders... We cannot escape our fate, but we are always responsible for our choices.
And of course, here women also lived. They were wise and patient, and knew how to appreciate every moment of their rich but unpredictable life. And they knew how to keep the secrets of this house...

The great man knew that he had achieved wealth for the sake of one most important woman. And her spirit is always in this house...
He grew up in the criminal world and life forced him to live by the laws of this world. His mother worked hard all her life so that her children could have a piece of bread, denying herself everything... And his biggest dream was to build the most beautiful house on the seashore to be able to thank her for her priceless sacrifice. So this house stands and radiates immense love, the greatest love that exists on Earth. To the only deity whom all people worship and for whom they are ready to give their best - MOTHER.

I would have liked to walk on the balconies of this house and we went around this house from the other side, but there was no such opportunity to get there.
The air was filled with the scent of the cedar pines that towered over the villa, as well as the scent of amazingly beautiful flowers.

There were tourists walking here, and I went down the steep stairs to the beach, where the water was surprisingly turquoise clear.
We found a cozy little bay and enjoyed the coolness and beauty of the Adriatic Sea!

People have a need to create something beautiful on this Earth. We enjoy the creation of human hands everywhere, sometimes not knowing the name of the person who gave us this masterpiece.
This unknown, unique building inspired me to start the #ArchitecturalPearlsofWorld column
