Relax in the bay of the Ionian Sea... #TheLongestTrip // #VideoShowsMyDelight

So, after a few posts of me drinking coffee where I am now, I'm finally getting back to the back-to-back events of my #TheLongestTrip and writing about where we went after the town of Anavysos in Greece. We did not plan to visit this place, it just so happened that our friend from Lviv rented a house for his family and they returned home sooner... In short, we were given a week of life in a luxurious house in the city of Kiaton, Greece.

We traveled by train in Greece for the first time. It was nice that the train from Athens to Kiaton was beautiful and comfortable. I remembered how we traveled in Ukraine in suburban electric trains for a short distance. They were not of such a good level.
And so we came to the house. It was very close to the sea. And the house itself was in a beautiful Greek style with columns. In front of the entrance stood statues of some ancient goddesses, and there was also a large balcony overlooking the sea.

A pleasant surprise awaited us in the house. The hostess gave us a huge basket of cherries and several kg of oranges. For me it was a luxury! I may not eat meat, but I cannot live without fruit!

We decided to stay here longer and spent two relaxing weeks on the shores of the Ionian Sea. This is the sixth sea in my life. I have visited the shores of the Azov, Black, Red, Mediterranean, and Aegean before. They are all different, and all are beautiful in their own way! The water in the bay of the Ionian Sea in Kiaton was extremely turquoise in color and there was a lot of algae at the bottom. The sea smelled strongly of iodine.

Due to the proximity of the sea from home, I spent many hours in the evening on the shore, relaxing and enjoying myself. I rested here after moving for the last two weeks. And my Darinka, taking advantage of the offer of the hostess of the house, went for a ride in a canoe with oars!

One day I watched a fun attraction: a man dumped inflatable penguins on the shore and they jumped on the waves. Of course, children wanted their parents to buy them :)

One evening I decided to walk along the embankment to the left, where I could see a church in the distance. It was a beautiful sunset. I took photos of houses and cafes that are very close to the sea. This place is probably liked by people who like a quiet way of life. I can't be in one place for a long time :)

And the other day we went to the right, where there were many nice cafes on the embankment. Straw umbrellas and palm trees looked very nice. I want to say that the food at the Kiatona cafe is very tasty, the portions are large and relatively inexpensive.

A very cute big dog was lying there :) I think he lives well there among the cafes.

At the end of our walk, we enjoyed the sunset over the sea and the mountains that were visible beyond the sea. What could be more beautiful!
