"Louiza" Apartments - the best accommodation on the desert coast...  The island of Chios //#TheLongestTrip

​Hi friends :) I return again to the events in June, when we arrived on the island of Chios. Today I want to show you a beautiful place where we spent seven days as if in paradise. This is Louiza Apartments on the shores of the Aegean Sea.

As we drove down the mountains of the island of Chios, I had no idea that it was possible to find such a deserted place where we would be almost alone with the wild nature of island Greece.
Our advantage was that we have a car. Because there was no store or restaurant there. To get to the nearest store, you had to go to the old village of Pyrgi, which I wrote about earlier. About 10 km.
And here we are! We got out of the car and were in awe of what we saw for a moment! On the shore of the sea, where only the rocky coast and waves crash against sharp stones, there is a beautiful building with a very cozy courtyard behind a stone fence. And inside is a blooming territory that immediately enchanted my soul. After all, we attach such great importance to a stylish design that harmoniously combines with the surrounding nature!

When we got inside the accommodation, my excitement doubled because what we got for $35 a night exceeded our expectations. It was a great style for me: white walls, blue door and large semi-circular window in the hall, which was together with a cozy kitchen area.
In the middle was a sofa with cute pillows, next to the fireplace. I imagine how comfortable it is to sit here and look at the wood burning in the fireplace and the sea that is visible from the window at the same time!
Many creative design elements added comfort to this home. Everything was done with love for the people who will live here. These apartments were created in the style that I like so much! Stone elements combined with wood.

The open terrace where we could sit, drink coffee and enjoy the view of the sea and the mountains was also of great importance to me. A giant ceramic vase stands in front of the house. As far as I understand, this is a unique Greek style. Maybe this vase is ancient! There is so much antiquity in Greece.
The owners have a cute red dog 🐶
He is kind and not aggressive. But he has a favorite hobby - this dog steals slippers )))

Our children here had the opportunity to be outside all the time. The territory of "Louiza" apartments is in the shade of trees, on which there are several hammocks. We loved lying here in the evening and enjoying the wind from the sea!

Once my Darinka found a strange bright yellow butterfly sitting on a branch with no less bright flowers! 🦋 It was as if he was asleep and did not escape from her hands. My Darinka is the mistress of butterflies :)

Opposite our yard, the owners made a wooden path that led to the sea through sharp stones! There the waves were actively beating against the rocks and it was a little dangerous to get out of the sea, but it was luxurious to swim there! Personally, I like to dive right in, there where deep!

At a distance of 200 meters from our house there were two pebble beaches. One of them was equipped with sunbeds and there was a small bar where we could buy beer, chips, cookies and order grilled chicken. But we did not take advantage of this, because we liked to go to the beach more distant closer the mountains, where there were extremely beautiful landscapes.

The climate on the island of Chios by the sea is windy. Sometimes strong enough gusts prevented our swimming. Then we went for a walk near the mountains. The road up is completely stone. And exotic plants grow among the stones. I especially liked the cute orange bushes, with which the whole earth is covered here, as if with balls!

I loved sitting on the hot stones until it got dark outside. The sun was setting and drawing magical pictures in the sky that changed every moment! It was heavenly pleasure!

Later we moved to the second floor of these apartments because our room was booked. The beautiful dark blue Aegean Sea was even better visible from this terrace!
There were two bedrooms here. And the hall with the kitchen was separated from the bedroom by several stairs and a creative furniture solution. The partition was in the form of shelves for clothes. Light white style. Large panoramic windows. Separate access to the yard from the bedroom. Everything contributed to a good rest!

So the last evening came... To be honest, I didn't have much time to fully enjoy this place. Just a week. But the ferry tickets were already bought in advance.
In this evening, I sat for a long time in the yard, where a nice rest area was equipped. Sofas with soft cushions, a small table to put glasses of wine and fruit... You can also see a special barbecue area with a large table and chairs, surrounded by ekibanas with flowers and wonderful decorative elements. Everything is very comfortable. I even swung on a children's swing suspended from a tree))) The owners are friendly people who really created their apartments "Louisa" in harmony with the beautiful natural environment of the island of Chios.
Therefore, I recommend settling here to all of you who decide to choose the island of Chios near the historical village of Pyrgi as the destination of your trip.
