I tasted Italian Lavazza in the ancient Italian village of Bassiano... #TheLongestTrip // I'm at this moment...

I finally found a place where I can relax mentally and physically! Last night we arrived in an ancient village in Italy - Bassiano. This is a real godsend for a bit jaded hikers like us! Because we've changed more than eight airbnbs in the last few weeks :)

I will write about the majestic, grand and so expensive Rome, where we spent six days), later. When it's time for this, because I want to write step by step about all these exciting places that God blesses me to visit and see!
Yesterday in Rome, I bought the famous Italian Lavazza coffee for the first time (my coffee, which I bought in Montenegro, has already run out :) And this morning I drank it for the first time in the exotic, exclusive village of Bassiano.

We found this place while we were still in Montenegro, and paid for airbnb here for a week. Because the price per day was $24 !!!
This is an amazing find! Recently, our accommodation in Budva ranged from $60 to $120 per day. Moreover, everything below $100 was not of very high quality!
Of course, we expected cons :)
We understand that if the price is so low at the height of the tourist season in Italy, then there must be cons! But the main thing is that we can live and enjoy life with these disadvantages!
The main thing for us is a cool, well-ventilated bedroom, because we can't sleep when it's too hot and there's no air to breathe well!
For example, the last apartment in Rome, which was $65 per day, far from the center, without air conditioning, had shared kitchen and bathroom, and we could not sleep there, because it was so stuffy that it seemed that we were constantly staying in a sauna!
We discovered the first minuses right away: there is no air conditioning and no Wi-Fi. Significant disadvantages! We looked around the town on Google maps. I saw that it looked like an ancient village. I was in awe! We dared to book this accommodation, hoping that it would be cool in the mountains and that we would buy an Italian SIM card with internet and also find a restaurant with Wifi.

And here we are. The entrance to the house is a semi-circular arched door. The first impression is as if we got into another century! This is what I love so much - the old atmosphere! The first night - silence and no car, no music! It's really not hot here, and I slept great! And here is my first coffee in the ancient street, sitting on cushions directly on the medieval stairs between the high ancient walls! It was my dream! We are happy :)
I will write about this cozy airbnb, with a wonderful modern renovation, but in the style of an old village, later.
Today, just enjoy my Lavazza coffee with me, which I will remember soooo much. Because I drink it in an old Italian village :) The coffee tastes slightly bitter, with a very good aroma. I didn't take a picture of the packaging. Will do it later :)
Because I'm currently in the only restaurant with Wifi ))) I am writing a post here!

In the evening, we walked along the narrow ancient streets, which are all surrounded by stone walls. There are many stairs, arches. The only trees around are flower pots. But the air is very good. Because The village, which is round, surrounded by walls, like a fortress, are in the mountains covered with green forest!

We take photos of every flower pot, balcony and window with turquoise shutters, similar in style to Greece and Montenegro. You know, I once heard such a phrase: it is good to study geography while traveling!
Now, when I travel so much, I am in awe of what I see, I am full of emotions! I really want to read the history of this wonderful medieval place….

IMG_20220819_234533_739.jpg

The people here are very friendly. I noticed that in small cozy villages, people are usually friendlier than in big cities. No stress, they are happier and therefore friendlier!
I learn its language in every country, at least a few words! I tell people: ciao, buongiorno, grazie, arrivederci...
And they smile back at me. Because everyone is happy when tourists want to learn a little and speak their native language :)

P.S. So, I came home and took a photo of my coffee. Good coffee, I intuitively made the right choice :)

Wow an airbnb for $24, that's incredible!
Not a bad little town to have a coffee in.

I can't follow your posts dear Olga. One is Athens, the other Dubrovnik and another Italy. I can't guess where you are now :)

To me, Italy can't be compared to another country. I hope you will tell us it as many places as you can visit.

I started writing separate posts that I mark #TheLongestTrip // I'm at this moment... This is where I am! But if you see only #TheLongestTrip in the title, it means that I returned to the sequential narration of events that were a little earlier. Because I can't make it on time to write about my moves and events, and I want to share the freshest emotions :) Thank you @videoaddiction for continuing to read!

Hey Olga,
I really admire the memories you're creating with your girls. That's amazing accommodation at a reasonable price.
I like the streetside dining with the folding table. It's convenient:)
You're looking relaxed and energized too:)))
I love the look of everything!

Stunning, and a beautiful village, you are moving rapidly, further away from home. What do you see as your final destination before returning home?
