Creating an image of a Greek goddess... #TheLongestTrip

It was during our first walk in Athens. After we left the ancient area near the Acropolis, we went for a walk in the streets and saw many more interesting moments that made our walk full of soulful memories.

IMG_20220722_215300_168.jpg

For example, this fluffy white dog 🐶 His owner was friendly and allowed us to pet him and take a photo :)
And then we saw a car driving and sweeping the streets. We saw the same one on the streets of Budapest.

While walking, we enjoyed the beautiful architecture. And so we came to the main shopping street, where they sold various souvenirs, vases, pictures, jewelry...
as well as clothes, shoes, haberdashery.
Of course, I enthusiastically began to photograph all this! There were very beautiful vases in my favorite colors: orange and turquoise. And also paintings.

But suddenly a respectable lady ran up to me and started demanding something in Greek! I understood that she demanded to remove the pictures I had photographed. I was scared that she would take my phone and break it! I said: no problem! And deleted the photo. I have never met such an attitude in my Lviv at the market Vernissage. We can take pictures of paintings anywhere.

And so in the next store, when we were looking at the various divine faces of Greek mythology, we saw a laurel metal wreath and my girls said: I want it!!! :) And later Darinka saw a dress that complemented the image of a Greek goddess :)

And so the moment came for a photo shoot of our young goddess :) Darinka posed on the ancient streets among flowers and clay Greek vases, against the background of ancient walls... She was happy! She felt like a goddess! It was worth to pay 40 euros for the image of our Greek goddess :)

Your girls look beautiful with the Greek goddess dress :) If you visited Hephaesteus Street, you would find many stores like those as well as around Monastraki.

I say Greek islands are better than Athens, the mainland.

I like islands too. For example, such islands as Chios. I would like to visit. However, it is comfortable to travel there by your own car. Thank you, @videoaddiction, for the compliment to my girls :)

Lovely shots, Olga! Athens is such a beautiful city and how lucky that you are able to travel and make these memories with the girls.

Darinka will forever remember what a Greek Goddess feels like, as she poses in the background of Ancient Greek buildings. What were the 40 Euros for? The dress? I wasn't too clear on that.

The people are so kind to strangers in Greece. I love it there! The sights, the sounds, just everything. Thank you for sharing the beauty of the city with us! Are you still there?

Thank you for being a part of #MarketFriday! I cannot tell you how pleased I am to see so many participating every week. I have learned so much about the different cultures of the world, especially the small things that go unnoticed except by those looking for them. Life is interesting, wherever you are, whatever you are doing. I hope the week has found you healthy and happy, as we all look to prosper in our way of life.

#MarketFriday began as a way to reach out across the globe and learn about different cultures through their markets, especially local markets and farmers' markets, and eventually branched out and evolved over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but, it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, and even your language/languages that separate us... Along with the fact that is these things are normal for us. There are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can be beneficial to a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue. I have learned so much about all of you and it has been an amazing experience. I can only hope that learning about each other can help us work together for a peaceful world.

Thank you @dswigle for such a great words 💕
The dress and a metal laurel wreath on Darinka's head cost 40 euros. I wrote that it was a small amount that we spent on the joy of the child. You know: we always deny ourselves shopping if we have to save for housing and food. But the child asked for it and I am happy that I bought her this look :)
