Some Sepia Saturday shenanigans
Happy Sepia Saturday!!!
Not too many Sepia Saturdays left before the big pumpkin day, so I wanted to get a few more scenes of the season out before it was too late!
So for the uninitiated, what I like to do is find some shots that were taken recently and just plain change them up. Yep basically take a modern photo and try to recreate that warm look of yesteryear. To do this first I try to crop out most of the obvious clues that would give away the time period. I use some sepia tones along with some grain and perhaps a bit of vignetting to see if I can get it to look aged. 😄
Of course there are no right or wrong answers as to how you create your art. Clearly there are no hard and fast rules that dictate a good sepia shot.
Feel free to join in the sepia fun...

The corn shot hides the age well. The flatbed does a nice job and in actuality, you never do a bad sepia. The timeless beauty of it.
I think that is where I fall down, I don't crop things out. But, there is really more to it than that. :)
Nice way to present Sepia on Saturday. Have a great night!
Thanks for your kind words. Always seems like the old days were more peaceful, and that is hard to catch.
It does seem like that, doesn't it? Life was ambled through, now speed is what its all about. Life was about enjoying simple pleasures, now the expectations are greater. It's partly our fault, pushing towards the moon, the fastest, the best, the most. Thats why the peace is gone. We are working too hard to get ahead.
Wow, beautiful photos 🥰🍂
Not long before the pumpkins are displayed more.
I enjoyed looking at these. I particularly like the corn in the husk shot. I also like the way the small chair is used for the pumpkin to sit in.
