I'm Just a Tree Nut
Happy Tree Tuesday!
The last of the sumac buds are still holding on. We have had some winds and chilly days, yet the worst of the brutal Michigan winter is still before us. I look forward to documenting the gradual decline of these.
There is not much color or variation in the woods this time of year. Basically just shades of browns, except for a couple of pumpkins we broke open for the critters to eat.
There was actually a spot of color I saw, laying on the ground in a sea of browns with just a hint of reds and purple.
The remains of my hydrangea blooms. So large they almost look fake. So large in fact that they seem more fitted to be in a Dr Suess book lol.
My neighbors ivy has found a way to my pine tree. I suppose life will always find a way if it can.
I thought this leaf really looks like a seahorse!! Is it just me or do you see it too?

No snow yet? We have almost 24" on the ground here!
Yikes, sorry! So far we have dodged the bullet. 😆
I love season change photos! That said, the pops of orange from the pumpkins in the stark sepia tones of almost winter photo made me smile! Great shots OGP!
