I Need a Macro Lens
I used to really enjoy going out and taking some close up shots with a macro lens. This was way back at the early days of that Steemy blockchain and even a while here on Hive. However, when Ben and I decided to upgrade cameras to the Sony A7iv, I decided to sell my Panasonic Lumix G7 along with my Pana macro lens.
There was so much fun hunting out this whole world of miniature objects to shoot...
My fat finger helps to put the size in perspective!
Or even my house key...
Sadly this is currently my reality with the Sony and the kit lens.
While it takes a decent photo of larger objects...
It struggles with the smaller subjects.. It was disappointing coz this little jumping spider had the prettiest eyes!
After all Christmas is coming up soon, and the OldGuy has been nothing short of amazingly good all year! I mean it is only right to treat oneself to at least a little something after working tirelessly all year long!
So I hope Santa agrees with my personal assessment and brings me a Sony 90mm f2.8 OSS Macro. It works well as a prime lens and has a very quiet focusing motor so it will be good for video which is important to me as well.!

You definitely deserve to treat yourself to a new macro lens as an early Christmas present to yourself. Every time I buy a lens I tell myself the next lens I buy will be a macro lens. And.... every time I buy a lens, it is still the "next" one. haha. Someday I'll get one.
