Admittedly, I am no expert when it comes to digital photography apps. I don't spend time keeping up with what is the latest in newly available apps. Of course being a cheapass, I certainly don't want to spend money on Photoshop when there are so many other free options to choose from. However I do confess to enjoying playing around once in a while altering some photos for Sepia Saturday. All of that to say I have fired up Darktable once again coz I like how I can deeply screw around with my clicks 😂

I know I often go a little heavy-handed on the effects, especially on Sepia Saturday. However the originals are always safely stored so I feel a bit more free when deconstructing them. I guess I cannot explain why or how much I enjoy altering the photos to give it that aged, vintage look. I suppose it is perhaps an old soul’s subconscious love and longing for yesterdays gone by.
