Monomad challenge - BW birds
I'm participating in the #monomad challenge with this post.
Title: BW birds
The yard around my house is regularly visited by a considerable number of bird species. Some of them are resident birds that I meet throughout the year, while some of them are migrants that mostly come in the spring and leave in the fall. I observe them almost every day, and when I can, I like to photograph them. Most of them have already gotten used to my presence, and it is not a problem for them to approach them, while some are still distrustful.
Woodpeckers regularly visit large acacia trees in search of food. They are most active in the spring, although they can be seen throughout the year.
The black redstart is also present throughout the year, and nests in the cavities of abandoned or old buildings. This species has an interesting song and is very useful in controlling the number of insects.
The neighbor keeps pigeons that he regularly lets fly. If they are not pecking on the lawn, then they are resting on the roofs.
The Eurasian collared dove regularly visits the yard. Sometimes they try to build a nest, but it is regularly attacked by magpies.
The great tit is the most common type of tits. Over the last couple of weeks I have watched them try to find a place to nest.
Magpies are there all year round. They nest behind the house on several trees. They make excellent nests that are protected from the rain. They are real bandits and are usually found in a small group. They are very intelligent and curious. But they are also very careful and never let me approach them.
These are just a few of the different species of birds I frequently see in my yard.
Thank you for stopping by and supporting my content!
