A Train Journey from Gwalior to Bangalore – A Mixed Feeling of Departure and Adventure
Welcome to my blog...✍️
NAMASTE (Hello) ❤🙏❤ to all of the stunning personalities of the Hive community I am fine and healthy and hope that you also stay fine, happy and healthy with your family.
Leaving home is never easy The comfort of family the familiar streets and the warmth of home make stepping out feel a little heavy But sometimes we have to go whether for work studies or any other reason My recent journey from Gwalior to Bangalore was one such trip filled with emotions observations and a few captured memories
The Beginning – A Heavy Heart
The day of travel started with a usual scene at home mom packing extra food dad giving last-minute advice and me feeling a mix of excitement and sadness Gwalior’s morning had its usual winter chill and as I stepped out I could already feel that slight pull in my heart
Reaching the station I saw the usual crowd some rushing with luggage some waiting on benches chaiwalas shouting their prices and the train announcements echoing in the background I found my seat settled in and took a deep breath The train slowly started moving and with that my journey officially began
The Changing Views from the Window
The best part about train journeys is the changing scenery As we crossed Madhya Pradesh I saw golden wheat fields small villages and kids waving at the train something that always brings a smile The sun slowly set painting the sky in shades of orange and pink
Somewhere in between I took out my phone and clicked a few pictures A distant temple on a hill a river reflecting the sunset and a chai stall at a small station each photo captured a tiny piece of the journey
The People You Meet
Train journeys also bring unexpected interactions In my compartment there was an elderly couple heading to Chennai a student returning to Bangalore and a businessman busy on his laptop Conversations started slowly but soon we were discussing everything from travel stories to food recommendations These random talks with strangers somehow make long journeys feel shorter
Midnight at an Unknown Station
At around midnight the train halted at an unknown station Most passengers were asleep but I stepped out for a short break The station was dimly lit and a cool breeze was blowing A tea vendor stood near the platform preparing fresh tea I grabbed a cup and just stood there soaking in the silence of the night These little moments make journeys special things you don’t plan but they stay in your memory
Waking Up to the South
By morning the landscape had changed The air felt warmer and coconut trees replaced the wheat fields We were entering South India The food vendors now sold idlis and dosas instead of samosas and kachoris It was a clear sign that Bangalore was not far
As the train reached its final destination I felt a mix of relief and excitement The long journey was over but another adventure was about to begin in Bangalore
Traveling by train is more than just reaching from one place to another Its about the changing landscapes the random conversations the food the unplanned moments and the emotions attached to leaving and arriving This journey from Gwalior to Bangalore was no different And as I stepped out of the station one thought crossed my mind home is far but the journey was worth it
(And yes I have a few pictures to keep these moments alive)
