Nigeria At Its Worst
Greetings Everyone.
Welcome to my blog and another wonderful edition of the hive learners' featured post. I am a Nigerian, and my country is situated on the West Coast of Africa. It is no news about the recent happenings in the country. Our leaders are just self-centered and don't care about the masses.
From the past, we always had hope that things were going to change for the better. We had this hope because a presidential candidate promised us change. From the look of things today, things only got worse. The price of goods and services inflated. Our currency exchange became very poor. I never imagined changing a dollar for 700 naira, but it got to the point where 1 dollar equals 700 naira.
How bad could it be ? The crime rate is on the increase and no one is talking about it; the killings, the kidnappings, the fraud, mention them. It is still shocking how a prison break took place in the country's Federal Capital Territory. No security agent could be seen anywhere near the scene until the whole prison break was over. Things are falling apart. It is disheartening and the worst thing that can happen to any country.

Looking at the educational system of the country, you realize there's no hope for the country at all unless God shows mercy. A country that does not value education is messed up already. University students have been at home for over six months because of the ASUU strike. Six months you could have used to round up two semesters, graduate, and do something better with your life just went down the drain. To date, every meeting has ended in a stalemate.
We once had hope that things were going to get better. We are still wondering how we got here. Many, including me, have already lost faith in the country. The masses suffer while those in power take all. They take the wealth of the nation and keep it for their children's children, while there are others out there who need all the help they can get.
As for me, with the way things are going right now, I don't see things getting any better. Things can only get worse as the price of goods only inflates and never deflates. In this country, once the price of a commodity increases, it keeps going higher and higher, so I wonder how things are ever going to get better.
Each time I see how bad it has become I pray and hope it gets better.
I just hope it's get better
We keep hoping for the better, we just hope for a better tomorrow.
These things will improve only when the law of the land improves. Inflation is visible everywhere but its solution is not showing. Hope for the best in Allah, He never disappoints His servants.
Good one💕
We are hoping for the intervention of Allah.
Thanks for reading.
The condition of our country Nigeria is truly pathetic... lives, properties and the future of our tomorrow's leaders are at stake.
It just seems like the government doesn't value anything anymore, everyone has become too selfish.
It's only God that can save us and this country from doom.
It amazes me how whatever happens to the masses is non of our leader's problem.
I've read briefly about the situation in your country, for me the government will find it increasingly difficult to improve the situation because there are so many groups who have different understandings from each other, one of which is boko haram! my question now is, what is the group fighting for? what are they fighting for?
The boko Haram said they are fighting against Western education, I just wonder which country does not need Western education.
I share the same sentiments, I don't see things getting better soon because we have been saying the same thing for several years now. I remember vision 20-20 from Yaradua's era, but now we are in 2022 and the vision still haven't been realized, it's such a shame
Seriously, our country is getting bad every day, the rate in which the government ignore the citizen's needs and their cry isn't nice at all.
They just pay deaf ears to our cry, everything is just crashing down.
We hope for a change.
There are just so many things that seem to be going on at the same time here in this country. It's not easy at all, but we have to keep on pushing and doing what's right. Hopefully things will work out in our favor.
Thank you for sharing this with us.
We really Hope for things to change for the better.
Thanks for reading boss.

Things are really at is worst dear friend.
It's quite heart breaking to how deaf ears our government tend to be when citizens at the button chain tend to suffer.
But no matter how dark the days are we still hoping for the better, there is surely a bright light at the end of the tunnel.
Thanks for sharing this interesting info with us
We tend to suffer a lot in this country of ours and it is disheartening.
Thanks for reading bro ✊.
