PhotoFeed Journal #1: Macro Photography Creativity

Let me introduce myself, my name is A Sofardhi. You can call me Ardhi.

There are many different themes and styles in the world of photography, one of which is macro photography. This style of photography is truly admirable, but also quite difficult to capture.

It requires a great deal of patience and perseverance to capture the right subject. Macro photography is a theme or style that leads us to admire the beauty and wonder of small things.

Dear friends, in this first part of the PhotoFeed Journal, I want to share my shots with the green fly as the subject. This insect is classified as a giant fly (as the locals call it). Its presence is often considered a nuisance because this fly is quite annoying when it flies.

However, despite being considered a nuisance, this animal is an important species for forensic entomologists. Like most calliphorids, L. sericata has been extensively studied, and its life cycle and habits are well documented. Therefore, its developmental stages on a corpse are used to calculate the minimum post-mortem interval, which can be used to help determine the victim's time of death. By the way, it took me a little over two hours to photograph this little creature. 😁😁😁 Understandably, I only used my cellphone camera without a lens. I relied solely on creativity, patience, and a little editing.
