Salt, Sand, and Chosen Family: Our Maravilla Beach Tabuelan Cebu

At 3 AM while everyone else was asleep our family began our adventure.We were driving to Maravilla a beautiful beach in Tabuelan,Cebu.Our multicab,a common car in the Cebu Philippines was filled with everything we needed,our tired kids and our eagerness to get there.

these people that I called my family they are not my "real" family,not in the traditional sense.But they are family in every way that matters.They have taken me in,shared their laughter,tears,meals and even their hearts.They have shown me what it means to belong,to be cherished and to be loved unconditionally.And today,we were making memories,"family" style.

The journey, Yes our journey.I thought it would only take three hours to drive but I was totally wrong!.The roads were confusing,I didn't know where we were, and it was much farther than I expected.It took forever 😁 It was my first time going to Tabuelan, so I was really excited.Finally, when the sun started to rise, we got there.

When we got there,it was amazing.The ocean was so peaceful and blue and the air smelled like the beach.and we knew we were going to have fun.
The kids, who were asleep woke up and their eyes got big when they saw the sea.The soft sound of the waves woke them up gently.

In just a few minutes, they were ready for the beach.They changed clothes. They grabbed their Buckets, shovels, and floaters and ran straight into the water.

The joy of watching children experience the beach for the first time is amazing.Their eyes were bright with fun as they used their small hands to build sandcastles,making towers and digging around them.You could hear their happy laughter along with the soft sound of the waves, and it was just a really nice feeling.

The water was nice and shallow so the kids could play safely.They were splashing,swimming and floating and we could hear them laughing.Our cottage was right there, so we could keep an eye on them and let them have fun without worrying.

Before diving into the fun myself,I paused to capture the magic of the morning.It was a beautiful view with the soft light and breezeand everyone was so happy.We took photos,laughed and hugged,creating memories we will always keep.

There is something magical about simply sitting on the sand and surrounded by loved ones,sharing stories and laughter.We forgot about all our problems and just enjoyed the moment.We watched the kids play and seeing how much energy they had compared to us.We felt the sun warm our skin and the cool sea breeze touch us.

And of course there is no beach trip is complete without a bit of playful pranks.The kids with their boundless creativity decided to use me as their human sandcastle 😁.They buried me in sand with their tiny hands patting and shaping,Their laughter was so loud.It was a simple,messy and beautiful moment showing how happy kids can be.

You could really feel how calm and quiet it place is.It was a nice escape from our normal and busy lives,a place to just relax.The sounds of the waves and wind,and of course the wide ocean that made us feel peaceful.

The smell of grilled food was everywhere as the day went on. We had a big meal with all our favorite dishes. Sharing food is a way we show love in the Philippines. We ate together, laughed, and talked for hours.

As the sun went down and made the sky colorful we all gathered on the beach.The kids, who were finally getting sleepy, sat with us and watched the sunset.It was a beautiful sunset aside from that it is the perfect way to end our day.

We saw the sun disappear and making shadows on the beach.The sky was so colorful it was amazing to see.The waves and wind were soft and we were quiet together feeling really calm.

As the stars started shining we put everything away and got ready for the drive home.The kids were super sleepy but happy and they fell asleep in the multicab dreaming of the beach.The drive home was really quiet and peaceful.We just heard the engine and sometimes someone snoring softly.We were tired, but happy with lots of good memories.

Our trip to Maravilla or rather its hidden neighbor was more than just a beach outing.It was a celebration of family,of love,of belonging.It was a reminder that family is not defined by blood but also by the bonds we forge,the love we share and especially the memories we create.

These people,my chosen family have shown me the true meaning of love and acceptance.They have given me a place to belong a place where I'm loved unconditionally.And for that,I am eternally grateful.On the drive home, I thought about our day. The fun we had laughing,eating together,playing and the amazing sunset all those things showed how great it is to be together.

We were not just a group of people on a beach trip.We were a family,bound by love,strengthened by shared experiences.And as we returned to our lives,our hearts were filled with the warmth of the sun and the echo of laughter in our ears.

The memory of tabuelan Beach the hidden gem we found will forever be a reminder of the magic of family,the beauty of simple pleasures and the power of love to transform ordinary moments into extraordinary memories.And that,my family and friends is a treasure more valuable than any beach in the world.
