RE: maintaining environmental cleanliness

I'm always looking for new ideas to encourage similar habits in my household.
It is in my opinion that by teaching them to maintain cleanliness, we're also fostering responsibility and independence in the daily habit. Do you have interactive ways you've used to make these lessons engaging for young minds?
