Another Dark Form on the Sand: Entry for the Shadow Contest/SMASh Round 391

Greetings,

How are you doing Shadow hunters?

I hope you are spending a nice weekend. It is a bit cold here so I have not the courage to go out to brave the windy climate near the waves on the Ocean side of town.

As oppose to go to the beach why not find the way to bring the beach near my position in the warm environment.

It is the moment to scroll through my gallery of photos taken at the beach the last week when the weather was more attractive than this weekend.

The collection of photo shows so many different places I have walked pass during the four hours walk on the sand. I was not sure to share with you the shadow part until I made the connection with the current edition of the contest still open for application.

The first photo above is my entry in the contest. I appreciate this opportunity allowing the publication of Shadows.

It was a nice sunny day like I love the weather to get warm early in the morning announcing a bright first part of the day.

When the sky is less covered by the clouds the sunlight make everything on the beach shine.

I was happy to be in the good position to take such wonderful moment on photos. In other occasion it was difficult to get so close to capture the moment the waves falls on the ground and run back to the Ocean.

I was not even aware of the presence of a dark figure on the white foam left buy the water. It was during the photos review two weeks later that I found cool to add this series of photos to the hunter entry in the shadow contest.

A cool accident in photography someone will say after reading this article. It is totally possible that the hunter by instinct took the photo just because the right element was gathered in this area at the right time.

The Ocean was not too noisy on that specific morning of Sunday. When I take a step back to inspect the photos in more details, I found that the clouds above were considerable in large surface but not as thick as the rainy days.

It will be impossible to get a clear photo with a shadow on the ground if the clouds were stacked in multiple layers above the area I was exploring.

I found it funny to revisit this moment later on a day the weather did not encourage me to move out and Photowalk as an entertainment activity in the city.

All the best to the participant to this edition. Thank you for your attention reading this post.

I can imagine the strong wind and rough surf that churned the water on or before your visit, that whipped its bubbles into those thick foams I can see.

It seems you live close to the sea.

It’s hard to see some unique features of a photo until it is the right time, lol. The shadows are beautifully hidden and that makes it really cool.
