In a remarkable celebration of leadership, service, and community development, Hon. Aniekan Hanson marked his one year in office with a series of impactful activities and the official unveiling of the Aniekan Hanson Initiative

The event commenced with a Thanksgiving service at Zion Chapel Evangelical Ministry, Afaha Ikot Nkang, Onna L.G.A., where Hon. Aniekan Hanson, accompanied by his family and members of the Aniekan Hanson Initiative, offered heartfelt gratitude to God for a successful year in office. He reaffirmed his commitment to doing even more for his people, after which the church prayed for his continued success and divine guidance.

Following the Thanksgiving, Hon. Hanson visited the palace of Chief Akpan Evanson Okokot, the Village Head of Afaha Ikot Akpan Mkpe, where he donated a royal seat to the traditional ruler. The visit was marked by warm receptions and royal blessings from the Chief and the council of elders.
The grand finale of the celebration featured the official unveiling of the Aniekan Hanson Initiative and an award presentation ceremony honoring distinguished individuals and citizens who have contributed immensely to societal development. The event attracted notable personalities, including government officials, traditional leaders, entrepreneurs, and community stakeholders.

Hon. Elder Sunday Udofot Johnny, the lawmaker representing Onna State Constituency in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, who was among the awardees, expressed deep appreciation for the recognition. He described the award as a reflection of shared commitment to community growth and people-centered leadership. Hon. Johnny pledged to partner with the Aniekan Hanson Initiative in providing a borehole for the community and supporting other developmental projects. He also commended Hon. Hanson for his outstanding performance, describing him as one of the best-performing councilors in the state.
In his address, Hon. Hanson encouraged the youth to embrace skill acquisition and take their education seriously, emphasizing the importance of having a backup plan even while pursuing political or leadership ambitions. He attributed his successes to a balanced commitment to learning, service, and hard work.
