Friends of Obispo. / Monomad Challenge (Eng/Esp)

Hello family, how are you? How long has it been? I've been offline for several days, but here I am. I'm bringing you several stories that I'm going to divide into three parts, in which I'll write brief reviews about the photos (I'm not a good writer haha). For now, I'm following the same line of documentary photography, but this time from a shot that has been a topic of concern to us all for some time. When I tell these stories, I do so from the point of view of friendship and how important it is to be able to sustain ourselves and continue.

Friends of Obispo
Luis reveals a life marked by adversity. Born in 1942, he lived in the United States for 40 years, where he earned a degree in English. He returned to Cuba due to the illness and death of his mother, the loss of his wife to cancer, and the need to care for his children.

Currently living in a tenement in critical condition, Luis is not alone; he has his friend Antonio, whom we can see together on Obispo Street.

Despite everything, Luis maintains his faith in God and is grateful for the solidarity of those who help him. In an interview with his friend Antonio, he ends by telling us, "Give me one hand and I will bring it back to you."

Hola familia como están, cuanto tiempo, he estado desconectado varios días, pero aquí estoy, les traigo varias historias las cuales voy a dividir en tres partes, en las cuales les escribiré breves reseñas sobre las fotos(no soy buen escritor jaja), por ahora sigo la misma línea fotografía documental pero esta vez de un plano que lleva tiempo siendo un tema que nos preocupa a todos, estas historias al contarlas las hago desde el punto de vista de la amistad y lo importante que es para poder sostenernos y seguir.

Amigos de Obispo
Luis revela una vida marcada por la adversidad. Nacido en 1942, vivió en Estados Unidos durante 40 años, donde se licenció en inglés, regresa a Cuba debido a la enfermedad y muerte de su madre, la pérdida de su esposa por cáncer y la necesidad de cuidar a sus hijos.

Actualmente vive en un solar, en criticas condiciones, Luis no anda solo tiene a su amigo Antonio los cuales los podemos ver junto por la calle de obispo.

Luis a pesar de todo, mantiene su fe en Dios y agradece la solidaridad de quienes lo ayudan. En entrevista junto a su amigo Antonio termina diciéndonos Give me one hand and i bring back to you, dame una mano de ayuda y yo te lo recompensaré.
