My city in black and white
Hello everyone, I hope you are well. My name is Yan Felipe, also known as Nogenta here on hive community and for the first time I come to this photography community to share a little of my photographic perspective and the affection I have for my city.
I was born in Rio de Janeiro and I take advantage of everything this city offers me as inspiration, and my connection with the streets leads me to unique perspectives and experiences.
I have been a skateboarder for over 20 years and have been taking pictures for almost 10 years. My work is mostly developed through film, but whenever I can, I am on the streets with my camera, ready to capture with a sincere eye what my city has to offer.
Living in Rio de Janeiro is something different. The contrast between the urban and the natural is what gives this city such a unique beauty, and for a photographer this is a great source of inspiration, because everywhere you look you can see new possibilities
Being able to contemplate, or watch a person contemplate the sea, the light, the sun and feel this in their body has an indescribable beauty and inspires me a lot, because all of this is about living art in its best essence, and I feel privileged to be born, understand and be able to look with a lot of love at everything that happens in front of me.
This would be one of the most common views of my city, but I believe that every day it gives us a unique image, because every time the sun sets and rises again for another day, we have the possibility of creating a new narrative and looking at this city of unparalleled fame. Rio de Janeiro, wonderful city
