Walk through nurseries and countryside in Chiesina Montalese. (ENG/ESP)

For the new week they have brought storms so today my husband and I took advantage of it to take a walk in a very beautiful place near the city famous for places to walk. Chiesina Montalese is located between the city of Pistoia and that of Montale that area is particularly famous like all the countryside of the Pistoia plain for the numerous nurseries, loved and hated by the citizens because some claim that the nurseries use harmful pesticides, others love them because they give work to many families and they beautify the city and the surroundings, furthermore the choice of nurseries is wide and if one wants to plant in the garden particular plants or trees if one goes around these areas one will find everything at honest prices. I really like this countryside area because here you can walk in peace, the roads are not very busy and fields and nurseries are a truly relaxing sight while walking. Especially during the good weather here there are good paths for walking or running. It is an almost idyllic place made up of a few houses and many fields, but you can easily get lost if you walk among the fields because they are all very similar and the green expanses can be confusing!

Para la nueva semana han pronosticado tormentas eléctricas así que hoy mi esposo y yo aprovechamos para dar un paseo en un lugar muy bonito cerca de la ciudad famoso por sus lugares para caminar. The hamlet of Chiesina Montalese is crossed by the Bure river, perhaps this is also why it is full of nurseries, there is a part of the place that is above the Bure and one that is below. During the walk we came across some very beautiful farms which we could not get close to because they seemed inhabited, but I took photos from afar, all surrounded by large lands, fields and nurseries, some of these, my husband who lived for a short time in this area told me, belong to rich nurserymen and inside they are magnificently furnished in rustic style, my husband really likes the rustic style and country life but I fear that the farmhouses in this area so close to two cities but surrounded by greenery really cost a lot.

Many of these farms were built from the mid-nineteenth century to the mid-twentieth century, which was the golden age of nursery gardening in Pistoia. Around them flourishing nurseries arose that gave work to many and enriched those who owned them, making Pistoia and Chiesina Montalese the queen areas of nurseries known throughout Tuscany. Obviously, as you can see from the photos, the land lends itself well to various cultivations and they were good at exploiting an area so rich in fields and green spaces. Obviously in this area there are also various greenhouses where you can buy small ornamental plants. It was a very pleasant and easy walk suitable for everyone since the land and the roads are all flat, you can travel Chiesina Montalese both on foot and by bike.

This area with good weather really lends itself to pleasant walks, you can enjoy the view of the beautiful fields of Chiesina Montalese that clash with the clear sky, if you are thirsty there are some fountains along the way and for those who are religious there are also various crosses and niches dedicated to the Madonna to whom you can pay homage with simple wild flowers, it was a beautiful and long walk perfect to do in spring or autumn, in summer I fear it is too hot to do it during the day, maybe in the evening.

La aldea de Chiesina Montalese está atravesada por el río Bure, quizás por eso también está llena de viveros, hay una parte del lugar que está por encima del Bure y otra que está por debajo. Durante el paseo nos topamos con unas fincas muy bonitas a las cuales no pudimos acercarnos porque parecían habitadas, pero les tomé fotos desde lejos, todas rodeadas de grandes terrenos, campos y viveros, algunas de estas, me contó mi marido que vivió poco tiempo en esta zona, pertenecen a ricos viveristas y por dentro están magníficamente amuebladas en estilo rústico, a mi marido le gusta mucho el estilo rústico y la vida en el campo pero me temo que las casas rurales de esta zona tan cerca de dos ciudades pero rodeadas de vegetación son realmente caras. Muchas de estas granjas fueron construidas entre mediados del siglo XIX y mediados del siglo XX, la época dorada de los viveros en Pistoia. Alrededor de ellos surgieron florecientes viveros que dieron trabajo a muchos y enriquecieron a sus propietarios, convirtiendo a Pistoia y Chiesika Montalese en zonas reinas de viveros conocidos en toda la Toscana.
