Visiting the eastern outskirts of Pistoia, beautiful avenues/ Visitando la periferia oriental de Pistoia, hermosas avenidas. ❤️
Good afternoon, hive friends, here I am again. I'm still feeling a bit flu-like today, but at the beginning of the week I had to run some errands in the city and decided to take advantage of the opportunity to visit the outskirts, which, to my surprise, is very beautiful. I began my little stroll through the streets of Pistoia on Via Porta al Borgo, so called because it was home to the ancient medieval city gate. Pistoia had four, all of which have now been destroyed except for one, of which only ruins remain. Porta al Borgo is an area with beautiful, wide avenues very close to the city; in fact, even from the main parking lot in the area, you could see the roofs of Pistoia's beautiful buildings in the distance. This area is very pretty, with its typical houses close to the city center: low, painted in delicate colors and filled with various businesses, pharmacies, shops, and various professional offices. It's a fairly busy area precisely because it's so busy, but it's still very beautiful. I particularly liked the houses on the main streets; some of the buildings are truly beautiful to look at. There are also more modern buildings, which in my opinion ruin the look of this area a bit. Then I continued towards the easternmost part of the city.
Heading toward this side of the city, I encountered several lovely little green areas. Luckily, after the urban redevelopment, the city has many small parks. I also passed one of the most famous historic buildings, both for its location—in front of the city prison—and because it dates back to the Fascist era. It's called the "tire target." It was a place of entertainment where you could have fun while learning to shoot.
It's still used for this purpose today, and it's a national training facility for military school students. Then I continued on to Via Nazario Sauro, one of the main streets in eastern Pistoia, also characterized by small, colorful houses. It's a simple, very pretty area, interspersed with slightly more modern buildings, yet still maintaining a more historic feel. The rows of houses are, in my opinion, truly charming and typical. It was lovely to explore new areas of the city; there are so many things to see and discover in Pistoia!

Wow very nice place.I like this sky photo.Have a great day dear🤝🤝
You took us on a walk around Pistoia, focusing in particular on the Porta al Borgo area. Your personal impressions of the contrast between ancient and modern architecture are interesting. I love seeing these urban contexts that aren't often portrayed. In these photos, I see some old homes in need of renovation, but from the photos, it doesn't look like an affluent enough area to undergo urban modernization. !BEER
