Today I started cleaning up my phone and found the photos of a little trip I took in winter to visit my stepdaughter who is on holiday in Cortina with her grandparents, she stays there for several weeks and we only stay a few days because Cortina is not very economical. But it is a holiday place much loved by many Italians and foreigners, it is not my favorite city for the winter views but it is still a place that I like. Here it is perfect for winter sports, in fact many go there to ski and snowboard, unfortunately I have never done either sport because those also have costs and my family couldn't afford it, luckily my stepdaughter does both she knows ski very well. It is also a city famous for luxury shopping there are many luxury shops in the center. In short, it is a very fashionable place. The full name of this place is Cortina d'Ampezzo and it is located in the Veneto region. It took us about four hours to get there and luckily we had a land rover discovery that helped us overcome even the heavily snowy roads, obviously the climate here is harsh and you need to cover yourself well and wear thermal clothing.

Cortina is located in a valley that was once a glacier so you can imagine the cold, it is surrounded by high mountains, the Ampetian Dolomites, splendid snow-capped peaks that make the landscape very beautiful and typically winter. The view is what I like most about this place also because I love snowy views. Cortina has had a history of great adversity and challenges both due to conquests and wars and also due to the harsh climate which did not make life easy for the inhabitants.

Hoy comencé a limpiar mi teléfono y encontré las fotos de un pequeño viaje que hice en invierno para visitar a mi hijastra que está de vacaciones en Cortina con sus abuelos, ella se queda allí varias semanas y nosotros solo nos quedamos unos días porque Cortina no está. muy económico. Pero es un lugar de vacaciones muy querido por muchos italianos y extranjeros, no es mi ciudad favorita por las vistas invernales pero sigue siendo un lugar que me gusta. Aquí es perfecto para los deportes de invierno, de hecho muchos van allí a esquiar y hacer snowboard, lamentablemente nunca he practicado ninguno de los dos deportes porque esos también tienen costos y mi familia no podía permitírselo, por suerte mi hijastra practica ambos deportes y sabe esquiar muy bien. También es una ciudad famosa por las compras de lujo; hay muchas tiendas de lujo en el centro. En definitiva, es un lugar muy de moda. El nombre completo de este lugar es Cortina d'Ampezzo y está ubicado en la región del Véneto. Nos tomó alrededor de cuatro horas llegar allí y afortunadamente tuvimos un Land Rover Discovery que nos ayudó a superar incluso los caminos muy nevados, obviamente el clima aquí es duro y es necesario cubrirse bien y usar ropa térmica. Cortina está situada en un valle que alguna vez fue un glaciar así que os podéis imaginar el frío, está rodeada de altas montañas, los Dolomitas Ampetianos, espléndidos picos nevados que hacen que el paisaje sea muy bonito y típicamente invernal. La vista es lo que más me gusta de este lugar también porque me encantan las vistas nevadas. Cortina ha tenido una historia de grandes adversidades y desafíos tanto por conquistas y guerras como por el duro clima que no facilitaba la vida a sus habitantes.

We arrived after a nice walk to the Falzarego pass, from the photo you will see the meters in height, some points even reach 3000 meters. Here the views are all snow obviously. From here you also reach a very cute and typical mountain refuge and it is an excellent point to admire the mountain peaks. There are many magnificent places in Cortina and also various pastures and collective lands that can be visited. It is also a perfect place for winter trekking and snowshoeing, there are many paths that lead to various refuges, those who love walking in the snow will find many places to visit here.

From the Falzarego pass there are many paths to follow, it is an excellent starting point for trekking, we also followed some of the easiest paths and stopped several times to photograph the view, especially from the Avernau refuge where you can enjoy a magnificent view, you can get there either on foot or by chairlift and even on the ski slope. It was a little trip that I remember with nostalgia, also because this year it didn't snow much here and I love snow.

Cortina is a great place to visit in winter I just wish it cost less so we could go more often and for longer.

Llegamos después de un agradable paseo hasta el paso de Falzarego, en la foto se ven los metros de altura, algunos puntos llegan incluso a los 3000 metros. Aquí las vistas son todas de nieve obviamente. Desde aquí también se llega a un refugio de montaña muy lindo y típico y es un excelente punto para admirar las cimas de las montañas. En Cortina hay muchos lugares magníficos y también varios pastos y tierras colectivas que se pueden visitar. También es un lugar perfecto para practicar trekking invernal y paseos con raquetas de nieve, existen muchos senderos que conducen a diversos refugios, los amantes de caminar en la nieve encontrarán aquí muchos lugares para visitar.

Desde el paso de Falzarego hay muchos caminos a seguir, es un excelente punto de partida para hacer senderismo, también seguimos algunos de los caminos más fáciles y nos detuvimos varias veces para fotografiar la vista, especialmente desde el refugio de Avernau donde se puede disfrutar de una vista magnífica. Se puede llegar a pie, en telesilla e incluso en la pista de esquí. Fue un pequeño viaje que recuerdo con nostalgia, además porque este año aquí no nevó mucho y a mí me encanta la nieve. Cortina es un gran lugar para visitar en invierno. Sólo desearía que costara menos para poder ir más a menudo y por más tiempo.
