Shots of Montepulciano/ Shots de Montepulciano.
Today while I was cleaning my phone I found some photos of a little trip I took in Montepulciano, a beautiful place in my Tuscany famous for the wine of the same name and for its architectural and artistic beauties. I'll tell you a little about this place, Montepulciano is a city like many others in Tuscany with a strong medieval influence, you can still see it in its streets, its colors and its architecture. Montepulciano is a hilly place surrounded by fields and especially by vineyards, it is one of those places where you can see the real Tuscany. Rolling hills, vineyards, cypresses, stone streets and excellent food. In fact, it is impossible to pass through here and not stop in excellent restaurants or wine bars or both! It has Etruscan origins but it was from the Middle Ages until the mid-eighteenth century that the city expanded and in addition to various vicissitudes and small wars and conquests the city became the beautiful pearl that it is today, expanding trade, architecture and expanding its beauty.
Among the most beautiful places there is certainly its Cathedral and the stately palace, both buildings of great magnificence but every part of the city is a small jewel. Unfortunately we only stopped for a short while to enjoy a dinner with friends and we were not able to delve deeper into the visit but it still remains one of the most beautiful Tuscan cities.
