Santa Fiora. A charming place

Before leaving for our wedding holiday, which I will talk about later, I wanted to tell you about a very suggestive small town that we visited about a month ago, a place that I have wanted to visit for a long time precisely because everyone has always told me so well about it. Santa Fiora in the province of Grosseto, all of Grosseto is wonderful but this place is special.its situated in a corner of the Monte Amiata and It have is name for the river Santa Flora that go through all the town.

Santa Fiora experienced its most beautiful periods during the historical moment of the Sforzas and the Aldobrandeschis, where the place was rich in natural and non-natural beauties and where it was also the center of important cultural and commercial exchanges. The place keeps its charm intact in its medieval alleys and streets, going here is like taking a dive into the past among ancient dynasties.

One of the most suggestive places is the large basin located near the church of the Madonna delle nevi called fish pond made by the Sforza family and now a little park,  which is really beautiful to photograph because it mirrors the typical stone houses of the village and is even more beautiful in the evening illuminated by the lights which create a atmosphere suspended in time, a magical place, unfortunately I have not visited the church but I know that inside there is a piece of glass floor from which you can see the river, an excellent reason to go back. The place it's really magical and charming. Can't wait to go back there, so beautiful and special
