Museum of Saint John Paul II in the Chapel of the Coromoto National Shrine. | Museo de San Juan Pablo II en la Capilla del Santuario Nacional de Coromoto.

Gratos saludos tengan todos mis queridos amigos viajeros de todas partes en este lindo Jueves, ya casi se aproxima el fin de semana y quiero compartir con ustedes esta grata visita.

Warm greetings to all my dear travelling friends everywhere on this lovely Thursday. The weekend is almost here, and I want to share this pleasant visit with you.

Justamente en la Capilla Sagrado Corazón de Jesús ubicada dentro del sotano de la Basílica Menor Santuario Virgen de Coromoto, podemos encontrar un pequeño museo exhibición que busca rendir un tributo especial a San Juan Pablo II, el papá que vino ha visitarnos en su segunda visita a nuestro país Venezuela, la paz única que se persibe en este lugar es realmente fascinante y nos atrapa por completo, en este espacio podemos encontrar todo lo que uso San Juan Pablo II en esa segunda visita a Nuestro país Venezuela y este vino a Visitar este Santuario Nacional.

Right in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Chapel, located in the basement of the Minor Basilica Shrine of Our Lady of Coromoto, we can find a small museum exhibition that pays special tribute to Saint John Paul II, the pope who came to visit us on his second visit to our country, Venezuela. The unique peace that can be felt in this place is truly fascinating and completely captivates us. In this space, we can find everything that Saint John Paul II used during that second visit to our country, Venezuela, when he came to visit this National Shrine.

Justamente en esta pequeña visita el papá San Juan Pablo II vino a visitar a la Virgen de Coromoto para coronarla como patrona de Venezuela ya que Nuestra Señora de Coromoto es de las pocas Mariofanías como la virgen de Guadalupe que se encuentra como aparición y manifestación viva de la Virgen María, justamente ocurrió el 11 de Febrero de 1996 justamente hace ya casi 30 años lo que tiene el santuario no sólo se encuentran los ornamentos sagrados sino su artículo personales, ya las personas veían en San Juan Pablo Segundo la santidad es por ello que deciden guardar, todo lo que el Santo Padre uso.

It was during this short visit that Pope Saint John Paul II came to visit Our Lady of Coromoto to crown her as the patron saint of Venezuela, since Our Lady of Coromoto is one of the few Marian apparitions, like Our Lady of Guadalupe, who is considered a living apparition and manifestation of the Virgin Mary. This took place on 11 February 1996, almost 30 years ago. The sanctuary houses not only sacred ornaments but also his personal belongings, as people saw holiness in Saint John Paul II and therefore decided to keep everything that the Holy Father used.

En el extremo derecho podemos encontrar dos sillas acolchonada con un cojin en su centro inferior con cuero y sus espaldar junto para colocar también las manos con pequeños agujeros, donde el papá se disposo a descansar mientras pudo hacerlo cuando nos visito, seguido a esto en medio una meda de madera que posee dos jarras de aluminio con sus platos y posillos de cristal donde se disponía el cafe, también té con el que tenía gusto de compartir, la mesa redondeada con una base tipo tripode con tres pequeñas bases.

On the far right, there are two upholstered chairs with a leather cushion in the centre and backrests with small holes to rest your hands, where my father sat to rest when he visited us. Next to this, in the middle, is a wooden table with two aluminium jugs with their plates and glass cups where coffee was served, as well as tea, which he liked to share. The table is round with a tripod-style base with three small legs.

Conjuntamente encerrado en un cristal para la exhibición del museo podemos ver el sagarado leccionario usado ese día por el papá para la sagrada Eucaristía, conjuntamente con el coro papal que este libro contiene todas las canciones que fueron cantadas ese día, así como diversos libros que hablan de esta hermosa santa eucaristía vivida hace 30 años, un reconocimiento que se le dio al papá como a su vez también una retrato fotográfico redonde donde se observa a San Juan Pablo Segundo celebrando la Santa misa.

Enclosed in glass for display in the museum, we can see the sacred lectionary used that day by the Pope for the Holy Eucharist, together with the papal choir book, which contains all the songs that were sung that day, as well as various books that speak of this beautiful Holy Eucharist celebrated 30 years ago, a recognition given to the Pope, as well as a round photographic portrait showing Saint John Paul II celebrating Holy Mass.

Ahora bien justamente en el centro podemos ver la sagrada silla donde se sentó el papá durante la Santa Eucaristía, esta sagrada silla fue elaborada por hombres trabajadores de la localidad, fabricada en madera con dos almoadillas, una de asiento y otra en su espalsar, podemos ver que la silla tiene una apariencia bastante modesta en madera sin tantos detalles, conjuntamente al lado se encuentra el sagrado ornamento del papá, usados ese día, su mitra que va en su cabeza, su alba, casulla que esta podemos ver que en el pecho tiene bordada la sagrada imagen de la virgen de Coromoto, como también su polió.

Now, right in the centre, we can see the sacred chair where the Pope sat during Holy Communion. This sacred chair was made by local craftsmen from wood with two cushions, one for the seat and another for the backrest. We can see that the chair has a rather modest appearance, made of wood without many details. Next to it is the Pope's sacred vestments, worn that day, his mitre, which goes on his head, his alb, and his chasuble, which we can see has the sacred image of the Virgin of Coromoto embroidered on the chest, as well as his polio.

A su vez en el extremo izquierdo podemos observar también en un vitral para la exhibición, todos los artículos de higiene personal usados por San Juan Pablo II segundo que nos demostro que era un simple hombre como todos nosotros, su cepillo de dientes, su pasta de dientes colgate, repelente para los zancudos ya que Guanaré es una tierra llena de humedad y existen muchos mosquitos, protector solar, también su jabón personal, e incluso sus vasos y su bebida gaseosas, justamente en su lado podemos ver otra vitrina con su solideos.

In turn, on the far left, we can also see a display case with all the personal hygiene items used by Saint John Paul II, which show us that he was a simple man like all of us: his toothbrush, his Colgate toothpaste, mosquito repellent (since Guanaré is a humid area with many mosquitoes), sunscreen, his personal soap, and even his glasses and soft drinks. Right next to it, we can see another display case with his skullcaps.

Por último hacer turismo religioso en este sagrado lugar fue algo totalmente fascinante, admito por completo que moría por poder venir a esta parte del Santuario y poder observar todo los artículos sagrados de nuestro querido Santo San Juan Pablo II.

Finally, religious tourism in this sacred place was absolutely fascinating. I must admit that I was dying to come to this part of the Shrine and see all the sacred artefacts of our beloved Saint John Paul II.
