Gratos saludos tengan todos mis queridos amigos de esta comunidad hermosa viajera en este martes, hoy quiero mostrarles la plaza centenario ubicado en Maracaibo.

Warm greetings to all my dear friends in this wonderful travelling community on this Tuesday; today I’d like to show you the Plaza Centenario in Maracaibo.

Justamente después de pasar por las afueras de las instalaciones del diario más antiguo de la ciudad de Maracaibo, me fui justamente por su carretera de atrás, puesto que hay varios sitios importantes como santa Rosalía, entre otros, me pude encontrar la gran plaza Centenario y esta tiene una hermosa estatua en el centro de la Inmaculada Concepción de María, bastante hermosa, es una plaza muy grande que justamente en una de sus esquinas, se ha situado el registro de la localidad que lleva el nombre de nuestra Santa Patrona Chiquinquirá.

Just after passing by the outskirts of the premises of Maracaibo’s oldest newspaper, I headed straight down the road behind it, as there are several important sites such as Santa Rosalía, amongst others. I came across the large Plaza Centenario, which has a beautiful statue of the Immaculate Conception of Mary right in the centre. It is a very large square, and in one of its corners stands the town hall, named after our patron saint, Chiquinquirá.

Como es de esperarse esta plaza no tiene muy buenos cuidados a pesar de lo grande y de lo hermosa, espero que prontamente le puedan dar una manito de gato puesto que para ingresar a la plaza debe subir escaleras, por lo que está prácticamente en una base para ver todo su interior debe subir las escaleras y justamente te encuentras de frente la imagen de la Inmaculada Concepción además, más tiene a lo largo de toda la plaza enmarcadas bancas, donde puedes sentarte también con bastante sombra, muchas flores silvestres son las que acompañan a esta linda plaza que es un complemento ideal, tiene flores silvestres, cancha, entre otros usos más.

As you might expect, this square isn’t very well maintained, despite its size and beauty, I hope they can give it a bit of a spruce-up soon, as to enter the square you have to climb some steps; it’s practically on a platform, so to see the whole interior you have to climb the steps and you’ll find yourself right in front of the statue of the Immaculate Conception. Furthermore, there are benches set out all around the square, where you can sit in plenty of shade, with many wildflowers adorning this lovely square, which is an ideal setting; it features wildflowers, a sports pitch, and other amenities.

Ahora bien, más cerca es justamente en el centro donde está la imagen de la virgen de la Inmaculada Concepción que esta está justamente metida en el centro de una fuente como es de esperarse, la fuente se encuentra totalmente deteriorada, por lo que las caídas de agua no sirven, pero se ve que en el pasado, justamente cuando inauguraron esta plaza esto funcionaba bien una fuente bastante grande y amplia rindiendo, tributo a la sagrada virgen María, madre de Dios y madre nuestra normalmente nuestra ciudad, es un una ciudad bastante católica, detrás de la virgen podemos apreciar una cancha deportiva que está también es usada para usos múltiples.

Now, closer to the centre is the statue of the Virgin of the Immaculate Conception, which is situated right in the middle of a fountain, as one might expect; the fountain is completely dilapidated, so the water features are no longer working, but it is clear that in the past, when this square was first opened, this rather large and spacious fountain worked well, paying tribute to the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God and our Mother. Our city is generally quite Catholic. Behind the Virgin, we can see a sports ground which is also used for a variety of purposes.

Me llamo mucho la atención en que súper lateral posee diversos tipos de locales, en donde pueden vender cosas, así como también la infraestructura que tiene el registro que recientemente fue remodelado y este asemeja a una linda casita del saladillo, sin duda alguna bastante bonita, sus tejas ancha, linda sin duda alguna, el piso es totalmente de granito, ubicada en una zona bastante comercial pero la plaza debería estar en mejor estado.

I was particularly struck by the fact that this shopping centre has a variety of shops where people can sell their wares, as well as the recently refurbished registry office, which resembles a charming little house in Saladillo it’s certainly very pretty, with its wide roof tiles, which are undoubtedly lovely. The floor is entirely granite, and whilst it’s situated in a fairly busy shopping area, the square itself could be in better condition.

Por último fue un gusto visitar, esta linda plaza y conocerla por completo espero que prontamente puedan ponerla mucho más bonita, porque en verdad requiere más cariño es lindo ver que esta plaza tiene en todo su centro a la Virgen hermosa María.

Finally, it was a pleasure to visit this lovely square and explore it thoroughly. I hope they can soon make it even more beautiful, because it really does need a bit more care. It’s lovely to see that the beautiful Virgin Mary takes pride of place right in the centre of this square.
