A day at Mass in the Basilica of Our Lady. | Un día de misa en la Basílica de Nuestra Señora.

Amigos he optado los domingos por ir a visitar otras iglesias a las que no voy siempre acudo a mi encuentro con el señor una vez a la semana, este no me puedo faltar esta vez decidiré ir a uno de los lugares favoritos que es la Basílica de Nuestra Señora de Chiquinquirá lugar que siempre visito cuando algo pasa algo importante en mi vida, cuando quiero agradecerle a la virgen por todos sus milagros, decidimos temprano agarrar el tráfico de San Francisco que me llevó hasta la basílica de la virgen justamente iba a iniciar la misa a las 9:30 de la mañana.

Friends, on Sundays I’ve decided to visit other churches that I don’t usually go to; I always go to my weekly meeting with the Lord, and I can’t miss that. This time I’ve decided to go to one of my favourite places, which is the Basilica of Our Lady of Chiquinquirá, a place I always go to when something important happens in my life; when I want to thank the Virgin for all her miracles. We decided to set off early to avoid the traffic in San Francisco, which took me to the Virgin’s basilica; Mass was just about to begin at 9.30 in the morning.

A llegar justamente me senté en la última fila y podía ver a lo lejos la hermosa tablita de la virgen de Chiquinquirá y aún no había comenzado iba a comenzar en unos minutos por lo que me estaba preparando para escuchar la misa con la mayor disposición la iglesia estaba totalmente llena y repletas pues asumo que muchas de las personas se van a escuchar misa en este lugar a pesar de que los domingos ofrece muchas misas el domimgo que es un día sumamente especial aproximadamente se demoró como unos 10 minutos en comenzar.

As soon as I arrived, I sat in the back row and could see, in the distance, the beautiful icon of Our Lady of Chiquinquirá. It hadn’t started yet; it was due to begin in a few minutes, so I was getting ready to attend Mass with the greatest devotion. The church was absolutely packed, as I imagine many people come here to attend Mass, even though there are many Masses held on Sundays. , which is a very special day, it took about 10 minutes for the service to begin.

Al escuchar la santa misa la reflexión del evangelio me gusto mucho pues hablaba de los 5 panes y los 2 peces, como muchas veces esto esta presente en el camino siempre vemos los milagros diarios, y Dios multiplica mucho más de lo que creemos, la reflexión llego muy cercana, siempre me gustan nutrirme de experiencias diferentes con personas diferentes particularmente fue un encuentro bastante bonito con Dios nos regalo por completo su gran cercanía, durante toda la misa escuche la palabra así como también miraba justamente la banca del frente que tenía una pequeña imagen de la virgen.

Whilst attending Holy Mass, I really enjoyed the Gospel reflection, as it spoke of the five loaves and two fish; just as this is often present on our journey, we always see daily miracles, and God multiplies far more than we realise. The reflection really struck a chord with me; I always enjoy drawing inspiration from different experiences with different people. In particular, it was a rather lovely encounter with God, who gifted us with His great closeness. Throughout the Mass, I listened to the Word whilst also gazing at the pew directly in front of me, which had a small image of the Virgin Mary.

Uno de los poemas bastante impresionantes de este lugar aparte de la hermosa tablita de la Virgen del Chinquinquirá que eligió quedarse entre nosotros aquí en el estado Zulia, mirar hacia el techo y su obra de arte plasmado ya que yo soy muy amante de todas las obras artísticas, mirar este cielo y sus pinturas es el más lindo poema para los ojos sin duda alguna me gusta cada una de las arquitecturas que tienen las iglesias y está en particular, admirar este arte me transmite mucha paz ya que me conecta también con Jesús.

One of the truly impressive things about this place, apart from the beautiful little plaque of the Virgin of Chinquinquirá who chose to remain amongst us here in Zulia State, is looking up at the ceiling and the artwork depicted there; as I am a great lover of all forms of art, gazing at this ceiling and its paintings is undoubtedly the most beautiful sight for the eyes; I love every aspect of the architecture of the churches, and this one in particular; admiring this art brings me great peace, as it also connects me with Jesus.

Por último mis queridos amigos me encontré una hermosa estatua de San José Gregorio Hernández, el santo de las pobres a quien se le otorga muchos milagros de todas las personas que tienen problemas fuertes de salud, siempre he sido muy devota de él y lo he visitado en el lugar en donde nació y me encanta que esta escultura en tamaño real, bastante hermosa esté presente en este lugar fue un lindo paseo muchas gracias amigos, por leerme me despido hasta una próxima oportunidad hasta pronto.

Finally, my dear friends, I came across a beautiful statue of Saint José Gregorio Hernández, the saint of the poor, to whom many miracles are attributed by people suffering from serious health problems. I have always been very devoted to him and have visited him at the place where he was born, and I love the fact that this life-size, truly beautiful sculpture is here.
