Personally I thought that 2017's was much better than the total solar eclipse of 2024 - and I live along the hyped path of totality. I enjoyed being with family and watching because I doubt I'll be alive for the next one in 2044.

Thank you! Honestly don't think I could pick one over the other myself, they were both over much too soon. Weather was definitely much nicer for this one, I was in Wyoming for the 2017 one and the temperature had barely gotten out of the 30s when the eclipse started. Got lucky as hell, think it's rained every day since.
