Marsh hen appeared on the river
Yesterday it got nice and warm and I decided to go to the forest by the river while it was sunny. I walked along the bank and looked closely at the trees at the edge of the forest. I saw wood pigeons sitting on a branch in the distance and got distracted by looking at them closely. Then I glanced at the river and couldn't believe my eyes.
Not far from the shore a marsh hen was swimming along the river. I froze in place because I knew that these birds are very timid.
The chicken also apparently did not immediately notice me and calmly swam along the river in my direction.
It’s a good thing I had my camera ready and I was standing among small thickets of bushes that grew right next to the water and hid me a little.
Therefore, I did not disturb the peace of this waterfowl. Of course, it was still too early for them to arrive, but apparently the sudden warming pushed them to spring migration.
Finally, I decided to come closer to the shore and came out of the bushes that were hiding me. This was, of course, unwise. As soon as the chicken saw me, she flapped her wings and with a loud cry rose into the air and flew along the river to the opposite bank into the dense thickets of reeds to hide there from danger.
It's a pity, of course, that they are so timid. But now I will know that marsh hens have appeared on the river, which were practically invisible last year.
Милейшая курочка. Так забавно она загибает хвост и крылья когда плывет.

Wow she is so beautiful. The bright beak combined with the dark feathers looks so elegant.
Thank you very much. I'm glad you liked this swamp hen.
