Ducks fly to the unfrozen water near the dam
We've finally got some winter weather. Last year, there was practically no real winter. Although forecasts constantly predict freezing temperatures, nothing ever comes to pass. The frosts are usually mild, but at night, it drops to -10-12 degrees Celsius. The river is already completely covered in ice, so the ducks have begun gathering near a small dam where the water never freezes due to the fast current.

Today I walked along the river and saw a small section of ice left at the bend, and ducks were swimming there. But most of the ducks were already walking along the bank. There was no snow, only the grass was touched by the first frosts.

But little by little, the ducks take off in small flocks and fly towards the unfrozen water near the dam.

They always spend the winter there. Even in the coldest weather, the water never froze, and people are constantly passing by to feed the ducks.

The ducks have long since become accustomed to this place and always return here with the onset of winter, as soon as ice covers the surface of the river.

There are some great shots here, I love the action of the flying ducks!
