A woodpecker hides behind the branches of a tree
It got warmer and although it was cloudy outside, I decided to go to the forest to take food to the birds and look at nature.
A surprise awaited me at the edge of the forest. A small woodpecker was sitting on a tree trunk broken by the wind. He was intently pecking at the tree's edge. Apparently he had discovered various bugs and larvae.
Everything was fine, only the woodpecker was hiding behind the eyelids of the tree. He kept looking at me. As soon as I moved to get a better angle, he immediately moved to the side where the larger branches grew.
So I walked around the tree trunk and the woodpecker hid from me behind the branches. Of course, he reasoned correctly. I wouldn’t be able to reach him right away behind the branches and in case of danger he would have time to fly away. But I only wanted to take a picture of him and wasn’t going to attack him, but the woodpecker, of course, didn’t know that.
That's why I had to take my time getting close to him so as not to scare him. Otherwise, he would quickly fly away.
The woodpecker apparently had no intention of flying away. He must have attacked large deposits of food and did not want to leave this good place.
Finally, apparently, he got tired of watching me. He probably realized that I did not pose a threat to him. He turned away from me and continued his work.
