Let's Make a Collage Round 178 // The Ugly Duckling (ENG/ESP)

Hello everyone, for this week of LMAC, I tried to convey a story and give a deeper meaning to the collage, as I will explain in more detail later. I hope you like it and let me know what you think. ^^

Hola a todos, para esta semana de LMAC, intenté transmitír una historia y darle un sentido mas profundo al collage como explicaré detalladamente mas adelante, espero les guste y me digan que les parece. ^^

Process:

First I choose four different images of sunflowers, and I put them together in front with a blur effect to imply that they are closer to the camera.

Primero elijo cuatro diferentes imagenes de girasoles, y las pongo juntas al frente con un efecto de desenfoque para dar a entender que estan cerca de la camara.

Then, I add some leafs and branches in the middle, also I apply a luminic and shade effect to correct the colors.

Entonces, añado algunas hojas y ramas en el medio, tambien aplico un efecto luminico y de sombra para corregir los colores.

I added a watchdog to the background, this image was taken from the LMAC gallery and belongs to @agmoore.

Añadí un perro guardian al fondo, esta imagen fue tomada de la galería de LMAC y pertenece a @agmoore.

Then, I apply a superposition effect to the dog, now looks better with the background, and I add a squirrel.

Entonces, aplico un efecto de superposición al perro,ahora luce mejor con el fondo, y añado una ardilla.

And here is the little swan protagonist of this collage, in the middle of the ducks.

Y aqui esta el pequeño cisne protagonista de este collage, en medio de los patos.

Now I add the wolf approaching the little swan, looking the dog on her back, and a wooden fence behind the ducks.

Ahora añado al lobo acercandose al pequeño cisne, viendo al perro detrás, y una cerca de madera detrás de los patos.

I add the image of the farm, Applying my waterbrush I combine the grass with the background, also I added the mother swan behind the wooden fence.

Añado la imagen de la granja, aplicando mi pincel de agua combino la hierba con el fondo, tambien añadi a la madre cisne detrás de la cerca de madera.

Finally I add a distracted farmer next to the dog, also I correct the color of the farm, and I draw a bit of grass in the side with my airbrush, and a shade for the standing farmer.

Finalmente añado un granjero distraído al lado del perro, también corrijo el color de la granja y dibujo un poco de hierba al por un lado con mi aerografo, y una sombra para el granjero de pie.

Explanation

My inspiration to do this collage was the tale of the Ugly Ducking. So, my idea was for everything to have a meaning as to why I've arranged them in this way. First, we have the ugly duckling, which is actually a baby swan. I placed it in the midst of the ducks to make it seem like they are confused because it's not entirely like them. While this is happening, a wolf slowly approaches where the little swan is, attempting to attack it while the farmer is distracted. However, it stops as the guardian dog is keeping watch. Meanwhile, the worried mother swan tries to fly towards her offspring but is prevented by the wooden fence. And while all of this is happening, a squirrel is observing everything from a branch.

Mi inspiración para hacer este collage fue la historia del patito feo. Entonces, mi idea era que todo tenga un significado de porque los he distribuido de esta manera, primero tenemos al patito feo, que en realidad es un cisne bebé, lo he puesto en medio de los patos para que pareciese como si estuviesen confundidos porque no es enteramente igual a ellos, mientras esto ocurre, un lobo se acerca lentamente hacia donde está el pequeño cisne para intentar atacarlo aprovechando que el granjero esta distraído, pero se detiene debido a que el perro guardian está vigilando, mientras eso ocurre, la mamá cisne preocupada intenta volar hacia su cría, pero la cerca de madera se lo impide, y mientras todo esto ocurre, una ardilla está observandolo todo desde una rama.
