A vintage typewriter

I was in midst of doing spring cleaning at my in law's house. That is when I found this old typewriter machine inside a case. I still remember when I was in school, my late father would always pick me up after school.

While waiting for his shift to be over, he would being me to his workplace. At his workplace table are a typewriter, and I would play with the typewriter by typing anything that comes out of my mind.

Before I play with the typewriter, my late father would replace the ribbon with an old ribbon. Before I do not understand why he did that. Now as I am older, I fully understand why he replaced it.
