Oystercatcher — Pilpilén (En/Es)
I share the image of an American Oystercatcher, a relatively common bird in the coasts of South America; however, it is not easy to photograph it. One of its main features is the deep red color of its black.
The photo was taken on the coasts of Antofagasta, using the camera of a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra with its 10x lens (equivalent to a 230mm in the full-frame format). The editing was done in Gimp.
La foto muestra una ave relativamente común en las costas de Sur América, pero no es fácil de fotografiar. Me refiero al pipilén o también conocido como el ostrero americano. Se caracteriza por el color rojo fuerte de su pico.
