A red VW Beetle — Un Volkswagen Escarabajo rojo (En/Es)
The Volkswagen Beetle is one of the most iconic cars of the automobile industry, since it was produced from 1938 until 2003. Now days, is not seen very frequently, with the possible exception of Mexico City, I remember that when I visited the Mexican capital, more than 20 years ago, the majority of taxis were VW Beetle.
El Volkswagen Escarabajo es uno de los autos más icónicos de la industria automotriz, ya que estuvo en producción, desde el año 1938 hasta el 2003. Hoy en día se ven muy pocos, tal vez con la excepción de México. Recuerdo que cuando visité el DF hace mas de veinte años atrás, la gran mayoría de los taxis eran de este modelo.
The photo was taken in Caracas (Venezuela), its red color pops up, in spite of the fact that the paint work is deteriorated, moreover the general exterior of the car is not in very good state. However the owner did not doubt to put a Ferrari sticker on it.
I do not know the year of the model of this car, if any of my readers knows it, please let me know in the comments.
La foto fue tomada en Caracas, y destaca su color rojo, a pesar de que parte de la pintura está deteriorada. Y detalles de la carrocería no se encuentran en muy buen estado. Sin embargo el dueño no dudo de poner la calcomanía/sticker/pegatina de un Ferrari.
No sé decir de que año es este modelo, si algunos de los lectores lo saben, agradecería que lo dejaran en los comentarios.
The photo was taken with the camera of a Samsung Galaxy S20, In the edition (done in Gimp) played with the colors. In the first image I did a selective desaturation, the second image is in full color and the third is black and white.
La foto fue captada con la cámara de un Samsung Galaxy S20, y jugué con los colores en la edición, efectuada en Gimp. La primera imagen hice una desaturación selectiva, la segunda es en colores naturales y la tercera es en blanco y negro.

I love my VW Beetles, it is difficult to give the year, as the were made in Mexico after the were discontinued in the rest of the world. Here in South Africa, it would be between 1975 and 1978, as the front indicator lights are in the bumper. (The Beetle was discontinued in 1978 here in South Africa. (Something does not look right on the back mudguard of this one in your photo)
I see that you are an expert in these cars.
During the 70's some VW Beetles were produced in Venezuela (however I do not precisely the years). I did not notice about the rear mudguard (that you mentioned), maybe it was fitted from other model or it was custom made.
