Walk In The Park for WednesdayWalk

On Wednesday we share our walks - short or long, it doesn't matter. What matters is what we saw and what we want to show.

Thanks to @tattoodjay, #WednesdayWalk gathered together enthusiasts from different corners of the world. From my corner I would like to invite you again in the Sea Garden in my home town Varna, Bulgaria.

I like walking alone. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the company of friends, but when I am alone, I can choose what to do with my free time and what to photograph. Usually I am after the birds and you will definitely see some today.

But let me start from the beginning. The pictures I took in September, back then we had fantastic weather and it was pleasantly warm with slight breeze coming from the sea.

The park is big and walking on its alleys could take you a day. I was already feeling a bit tired and stopped to rest on the bench on one of the main alleys.

It was weekend, but not many people could be seen, perhaps some prefer to be on the beach. Later I found that the car retro show at the main entrance attracted many visitors. I made a post about it, so for not reposting same images, here is a collage of some of them.

It is very convenient to cycle or jog. Big trees cast their shades and make it pleasant even in the hottest day.

The place is favorable for walking dogs. This one found something interesting perhaps.

I was more than happy to meet another Chinese Crested dog, same as my Penny, only much younger.

We are still on the same alley, where these two palm trees gives some Mediterranean look of the surrounding. Palms are put throughout the town in spring and stayed outdoors till late autumn, depending on the weather. In winter they are stored indoors.

Now, turning to the left and the side alley leads us to one of the iconic trees, favourite among the children, since its easy to climb.

This time I managed to snap the tree without any kids.

This tree is called Judas Tree. We call it the Curved Tree.

Here, in the sign near the tree, the name of Anton Novak is mention. He is the founder of the Sea Garden. In 1881, the mayor of Varna was the first to initiate the creation of the park. Anton Novak was invited, being famous Czech landscape architect at that time. He accepted and thanks to him a new park start to emerge and later on was enlarged. It is impressive how it started from a scratch in a dump area. Many trees were brought form different regions to be planted. For many years ever since the park is a landmark.

In the beginning I mentioned that my walks in the park are mainly because of the birds and at that time I spotted this young robin.

And this woody.

And here somebody has lost his budgie

I will finish the post with the photo of a sculpture of a goat in the Rock Garden, rather new, I think two years ago it was placed there. Rock Garden is a small corner in the park where at night it is beautifully illuminated.

And that is all for now. I hope you would like to see more of our beautiful park in my future posts.

Thank you for viewing.

Such a beautiful walk, I like when out for photo walks being on my own, I can duck here or there looking for good spots for photos without having to worry I am slowing down or even rushing whoever I am walking with

Thanks for joining the Wednesday Walk :)

Thank you so much!
Indeed, when I am with somebody else, I could not concentrate and I miss a lot of the surrounding to capture. Usually I end up with something I snapped quickly.

Awesome POVs the "vignette" on the right in the second image is a little distracting though.

Is it maybe a crop sensor lens on a full frame camera?

That can be used for awesome "porthole" effect sometimes.

Overall really awesome pictures.

Thank you very much for stopping by and leaving your comment.
I was experimenting with additional wide angle lens with macro effect attached to the telelens and then I cropped the image to remove the distortion, but yes, you are right, there is still some left on the second picture.
I use Canon EOS 4000D.

The idea of "porthole" effect is great and I should try it.

I am glad I could provide a little creative assist... Experimentation is the essence of photography so... good for you. I would love to see some lower angles if you are able.
