Friends, I took this photo of Dahlia flower from my courtyard which looked very lovely to me, so I took some pictures of it which I am sharing with you.

Red Dahlia flower is called "Red Dahlia" in Hindi. Typically, dahlias bloom from mid-summer (around July) to fall (October). Usually its blooming period depends on the species of dahlia, time of planting and the amount of care the flower receives.Dahlias are perennial plants with 42 species with many characteristics. Some have green stems, while others have woody stems. The flowers come in different colors including white, yellow, orange, red and purple.Dahlia is mainly used for ornamental, medicinal and edible purposes.

Dahlia flowers are widely used in gardens, pots and as cut flowers due to their beauty and variety of colors. These flowers are also popular for home decoration and making bouquets.
Dahlia pinnata is used to treat cancer, cholesterol, high blood pressure, obesity, constipation and bone problems. Dahlia flower extract has properties to improve insulin function in the brain and control diabetes.

We can grow dahlias from cuttings or from tubers grown in winter. To grow from cuttings we have to wait until the tubers germinate in spring However, we can start the growing season early by dividing our dahlia tubers and planting them in containers indoors before outside temperatures rise.
Dahlia Flower Seed To harvest we seeds, it's best to leave the old faded flowers on your plants for at least a month before frost and then harvest the seed pods (dried flowers) after frost, giving the seeds time to fully develop on the plant.
