It was such a beautiful day. A day full of fun and adventure. I was on my way to the biggest school in our hometown, the Tabogon Central School to attend the orientation of the school’s property custodian. It is situated on the mainland of our district, Tabogon, Cebu. Our municipality is not that famous because it is known to be a small sleepy town.

Now, let me explore you to our Matahum (local dialect) nga Tabogon, which means the Beautiful Tabogon. Be captivated by the alluring beauty of nature, the cool green scenery in going there, and the loveliness of the school which was one of my itineraries for this one-day trip.

The Long Winding Road

To reach the Tabogon proper, riding a motorcycle will take only 20 minutes, if traveling by vehicle it only takes 15 minutes from the barangay where I’m currently residing. Upon going there, you will be having fun with nature’s beauty. The town is a mountainous area , it has vast fields and coastal areas. Farming and agriculture are the main sources of living.

Drivers must take care in going there due to the winding road. The road is not so wide that if there is carelessness in driving, accidents will be happening. There are many curves on this road but despite these, you will be enjoying the journey because of its calm and comforting surroundings.

This is a captivating place. People who passed here will surely take pause, and take photos in this enchanting area. The overlooking view is soothing. This is famous in our place and is called the Little Transcentral of Tabogon.

On my way, I passed this huge bridge. The advancement of technologies helped the improvement of this bridge. Before it was a wooden bridge and now look at this, it is already concreted with a solid foundation for everybody’s safety.

Tabogon is a highland where huge trees can be seen everywhere. It is very relaxing, and the calming effects of these will surely give the riders coolness of mind. I’m a li’l bit sleepy on my drive because of the cool breeze of the air.

Since agriculture is one source of living here, this is good news for the farmers. A corn grain mill machine is available anytime at their convenience to serve them to the fullest. It is located at the foot of the mountain. So cool!

One of the centennial trees in our town is the rubber tree. It is so beautiful, it gives shadow to people, it protects, and provides a cool breeze to the residents.

The School Site

Welcome to Tabogon Central School. Since I arrived early, I have the chance to roam around the school to take the photo opportunity. Be charmed by the enchanting works of the teachers that were creatively done. The whole area is colorful and is surrounded by the loveliness of its landscapes.

The availability of the handwashing area for everybody is visible. This is one of the ways to keep us away from any viruses and bacteria. The learners are free to use this.

The frontal, back, and inner view of the oldest school in the town. It's strong foundation remains and can withstand to any intense natural calamities and disasters.

These are the old buildings of the school. The school was established in the 1950s according to my mother who is a retired teacher in our place. The Gabaldon buildings signify how valuable education is to Filipinos. They are preserved and protected thus, they were not demolished despite their age.

The school beautification is a great factor for the learners to be excited in going to school. They will be having fun in these alluring landscape, and these are beneficial too since these are educational.

The amazing parks of the different subjects. These were religiously crafted by the teachers. Landscaping in school helps for the betterment of the learners performance.

The learners are eager to go to school regularly because of their appealing school. The tress that surround the school are giving a cool breeze to everyone. The school is worth sharing. Recycled materials are usually used in their landscape. It is good in helping the rehabilitation of Mother Earth.

Exploring the Sleepy Town

After taking my lunch, I went to the proper Tabogon to see the town’s Christmas decorations. As I strolled there, I was in awe! The amazing park is more attractive now. The giant Christmas tree and the different Santas are all incredible.

Tabogon is located in the northern part of Cebu and is a 3rd class municipality.

These decors make the town more colorful at night. It's splendid beauty will be revealed at night time because of the different Christmas lights hanging around. It brings joy to everyone after almost 2 years of being dull due to the pandemic.

The monument of our national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal. It was given importance because he is one of our heroes who fought for our freedom.

Every tree inside the park has a quotation posted. Whoever will read it, it gives additional knowledge on how important nature is. It is a sort of a friendly reminder so everybody will take his/ her part in maintaining a healthy environment.

When our seminar ended, I decided to take a quick glimpse of the port area. For the first time, I have seen its fantastic prettiness.

Fishing is another source of living here. Everything in this place is awesome. The port area is clean, and full of life. There are different snack house and restaurants around. It has plenty of recreational activities that give joy to the people around, whether residents or visitors.

It was a fulfilling day. I was having fun the entire day. I was able to submit the required documents and have the privilege in attending the orientation faithfully. I used the remaining hour exploring our town’s gorgeousness. No tiresome attacked because it was great and enjoyed.

I'm proud being Taboganon (people who lives in Tabogon). The nature's beauty is at its best, the people are hardworking and the town is doing its best for the betterment of everyone.

I went home full of knowledge and great experiences. Thank you for your time.
