Here I am again with you all and with @untilwelearn for their 121st cell phone photo contest. Last week went well for me; this time, I hope it goes even better.

Not all the best-known flowers—like roses, cayenne flowers, or sunflowers—are beautiful; there are others that are just as lovely, such as what are called wildflowers, because they grow on their own in fields where there’s plenty of grass—that’s where they thrive.

Like this one I found during my visit to the countryside over the weekend—though I had to wait for it to wake up. It looks like a relative of the “Bella las Once,” but this one opens its petals earlier, revealing that striking yellow center and its innermost part in a dark purple. Nature and its colors are truly unique.

It is known as the white alder or Turnera subulata; its petals open at 8 a.m. and remain open until noon.

You are right; it is not just the most well-known flowers that are beautiful. There are countless others that possess a unique kind of beauty and, by blooming even in incredibly harsh conditions, convey a message of positivity and persistent effort. I, too, greatly admire such flowers. :)
