I don't know what I was expecting but all the places you've visited so far are incredible and not as 'olde worlde' as I imagined.

Jayapura looks like a really cool city to visit and Biak has a full on Caribbean vibe.

Ever since you mentioned you were going, I'd been reading up and it looks fascinating. I wonder why it doesn't appear to have such a high profile?

Color me surprised too!

This morning I met up with a resort owner in Biak. He's an American and was so passionate about the island as a whole. From him I learned that there's lack of marketing done from the government and it's one of those places that "only for those who know it".

Everything here is extremely cheaper than most popular hotspots in another parts of Indonesia. I was really surprised we can learn to dive under $100. Typically that would cost way more.

Biak is really underrated and even I am passionate making this place to be more discoverable. The flight is a bit of a chore but once you're in the island, everything is cheap especially fish 😃
