Xenocatantops
Xenocatantops is a genus of praying mantis (Caelifera Acrididae) in the subfamily Catantopinae, a group of insects belonging to the family Genera Acrididae (grasshopper family) such as Macrotona. sometimes called "spur-necked grasshopper", but the name is also used for grasshoppers from other subfamilies, including the genus Melanoplus from Melanoplinae.
Or by the local name. This grasshopper is often called a leaf grasshopper, because it often lives or is found on plant leaves or it could be because of its green color like leaves.
But it should be noted that. There are so many types of leaf grasshoppers that belong to this subfamily. I have also observed several other types of leaf grasshoppers with different color patterns and sizes.
This one is small in size, but sometimes there are also grasshoppers of this type with a larger size, and the same color but have spots on their bodies. In general, all grasshoppers have the same habits. They are leaf eaters and young shoots of plants.
