Taking a long walk to one of the largest plazas in Latin America. Contemplating the underlying beauty before ordinary eyes
Today I realized that I am a person a bit messy with my routine, in fact, I think I have no routine, I just do things according to what is happening. I think I acquired this way of being in the past, at a time when the idea of routine was something quite stressful, I don't know, I think I ended up misinterpreting what a routine was, making it look like a monotonous repetition of things I didn't want to do. Nowadays, things have changed, and I researched what a routine really is and it is something that can help me a lot both to organize my mind and to manage my time and energy, well, this is something that a good routine could help us all.
In view of all this, I decided to wake up today with the best possible intention, I set about organizing some things with certain friends, had breakfast, showered, got dressed and went out to the street. Since I had to do the grocery shopping for the household, I decided to first do my walk for #wednesdaywalk and, on the way back, fulfill my shopping duty. I decided to take the route along the main avenue, to see if I saw anything interesting to photograph, unfortunately, I didn't find much at first, just streets full of people passing by and a blue sky with lots of sun.
Don't be discouraged by these pictures, come on, they are not that bad either, but it's only the beginning of this tour, literally, this is just outside my house, so there is still a lot of walking to do. After passing through the center of the city, which felt more congested than it looks, believe me, I continued on towards a beautiful cathedral a little further on. Once upon a time I sang in a choir inside this cathedral on the day of its inauguration. I thought it was a nice stop!
Already from this point I was starting to get tired, the sun of the city is a bit strong, and besides, I walked quite a bit from the house to the cathedral, even so, I decided to take a break and continue! I had faith that I would find something nice to photograph on the way back walking along this same route, and well, I did, I found a sculpture stamped on a wall, I think it is a blessed nun, the truth is that I do not know very well the stories of the saints of the country or the world in general.
I also found a couple of small residential towers, in which were engraved some beautiful drawings, a work of art with indigenous theme, too bad that the paint is falling a little, but it is something that is not very noticeable in the image.
After this, I don't know why I had the idea of walking along the street of those two towers, well, I think it was because at the time it occurred to me that maybe I could find some nature around there, and well, that's what I found, not on such a large scale of course, but I did run into a bush with very nice purple flowers, which had some bees, I tried to photograph them in the best way, as they moved a lot, it was a challenge for me he,he,he,he.
Along the way I came across the epicenter of the musical study of the city, the house of culture, where lie several practice spaces in different artistic fields, such as music, painting, sculpture, design, etc.. The truth is that I was quite pleasantly surprised to see that the garden of this place had been somewhat conditioned! I felt full, excited, I thought it was a very beautiful result that they achieved with this garden, of course, my camera is not the best and I think that the magnificence of the colors of the flowers in this space is not much appreciated, but well, at least the effort is made.
In this place there are also some nice sculptures, I only took pictures of a couple of them. The first one, the one that looks like an abstract cube or some kind of structure with beautiful shapes, is almost at the entrance, and well, it seems to me for some unknown reason, seriously, its formation is interesting but not really understandable. Just a few steps further on I came across another sculpture that may look a bit simple, but its three faces at the upper ends are quite intriguing.
The space in this place is set up in an extremely pleasant way. Just in front of the music conservatory was a small square, with about 4 or 5 concrete benches to sit on and a sort of obelisk in the middle, which had a wheel or a wheel or a nut instead of a pyramidal point.
Ahead was the aeronautical museum of Maracay, as you can see, the establishment was closed, but I managed to take a picture of a model airplane through the slots in a wall.
Finally we have arrived at one of the largest Bolivar squares in Latin America, or maybe it is the largest? I don't really know, I forgot to investigate it he,he. Anyway, the important thing here is to enjoy the view. This huge plaza has beautiful natural spaces, which include squirrels and iguanas, and yes, I managed to photograph them, all thanks to a couple that was feeding them.
The space is really huge, and also, at the side of the square there were two more structures, one I think is a kind of military castle, which is the green structure, and the one in white with brown I think it is the theater something like that.
Since it is Christmas Eve, which I had also forgotten about (how quickly it happened this year), there were lots of happy holiday themed decorations, with a huge beautifully decorated Christmas tree and lots of lights to turn on at night.
When I finally decided to go back I still had to do the shopping, don't worry, I didn't take pictures of boring shopping, besides that place was quite small and stressful, I just wanted to get out of there. I make this final section of the post just to show some small drawings of birds on a mural that I found on my way back, it really makes me happy when cities are decorated with this kind of art.
And finally, a toast! I know that the last photo will not be the most glamorous, but I want to leave it as a successful farewell, having a beer to refresh after a great walk.
Love this!
A guitar shop just outside your house?
Yay, paradise! Haha!
Great stuff!
Thanks for taking us around your place! 😀
It's nice to just stroll around and maybe find corners that you never knew where there.. 👍
