The weight of what went wrong
Day, night, night... day… and this awakening filled with dreams that, for some reason, dawned too fragile to be dreamt again. It could happen that, like the photograph, they turned out overexposed or too deep in shadow, or that their lights might wish to play in alternative realities, among some not-so-lucid logbooks, or be nothing but wet paper dissolving away.
And within, that voice pleading for calm: come on, you’ve done well. The weight of all that went wrong should no longer rest upon your shoulders; they are but stones along the path, and who knows if, after all, it is not what you think…
Now the melodies are extreme. They pierce the bones, there is a disguised coldness in everything I touch.
So I search for my voice beneath my legs, in the strain, in the misstep, seeking where to hold on in order to end this cycle, awaiting blessedness.
I would ask you to hold me tight, not to pull at my threads in your stubbornness to sink into the void. It is proven, even angels have those moments when they seem to surrender…

I love the photographs of the branches, the birds, and the power lines; it seems like something random in the city, but you can actually find interesting shapes in its details.
Photos that at the time ended up in my files as flawed, ones that came out wrong haha… Not so with the shots of the lights at night, when I was experimenting by moving the camera at will and shooting at low speed.

Interesting what photographs show when we make these 'error' ones. In the first one, the 4th photo, I see a bird. Fits so well with the previous three.

Hello Edje, 😊 sending from here my best wishes to you this Christmas. Thanks for stopping by! ;) As for the photos, in the one where you see a bird, I see two hands pulling strings. The night shots are part of a photographic exercise using low speed and moving the camera at will. It is also known as ICM – Intentional Camera Movement.
also possible indeed. when I re-checked again, I see the hands as well. but also, I can see the bird, with its nose down, perhaps a crow? 😉
Don't know much of photography, other then that I shoot tons of still images in my life (not so much in recent decade). ICM, never heard about this, but I do believe you in an instant. I guess, next time when I have such photograph on my phone, I shall not delete it anymore 🙂
