The compass in my heart
Life is beautiful, of course it is. Oh, but how much patience we have to hoard when faced the provocations of certain people. 😁 I mean, neighbours, co-workers, family members... anyone. And they even have, themselves, recipes for reacting to X or Y, it doesn't matter, they'll even have manuals for that.
To tell the truth, I don't know about recipes or manuals, I only have a small compass in my heart that guides me. And although I often isolate myself so as not to be a nuisance, the truth is that I prefer to give love and kisses... better to have plenty of them than not to have enough.
Then, life takes me to places where I see... confirmations.

Him?
Yes, of course he's handsome. Look at him here.

It seems that he was worried because I disappeared in a strange house and, as in the previous photo, he was looking after the bikes and waiting for the talkative spirit that sometimes rides me to leave my body, to see if we could finally reach our destination.
However, let's go back and explain.... 😄
He who seeks finds and it seems that someone, in this post, was given a little blue kiss. You see you just have to be in the right place at the right time.
Now then, this was a day of art. From stumbling across @lileisabel's artistic chocolates to sitting in the square... wait. Hey, hang on.
🖐
We passed by the National Museum of Fine Arts and it was closed. If I can overcome procrastination I will go in the next few days to visit this important place to bring its gems to Hive.

I saw white doves. And I felt peace. I already had a lot of peace in me because cycling is the best, and at this point we had already covered a few kilometres.

I was delighted to discover that there is also art for peace here in Havana. In Málaga, Spain, they rolled out a large carpet of salt, as @avdesing shows us. A little further on, on the corner, a work by Alexis Leiva Machado (Kcho) spoke to me of the capacity for wonder.

This sunday was an astounding day for me. That house I got lost in was a Studio-Workshop.

The artist let me in to admire his work and we talked a bit about it. Although it was not a long conversation, was a deep one. A lot of wisdom on his part. He told me about his inner happiness, what it feels like to finish a painting and that he didn't need external validation, just to be satisfied with himself.

This is his favourite work. None of his works has a title. He said it is very hard and I felt as I admired it. So much so, that I even asked him if it had a real story behind it. He just explained to me about expressionism and the influences he exhibits in his work from recognised masters of pictorial art such as Modigliani, Picasso, Matisse.

Sorry for the reflections but this was right in front of a window. And I was almost leaving when I met someone else. I'm not going to give details now, maybe in another post, but I will tell you that here literature and pictorial art went hand in hand.

All right... a little teaser. From left to right, the artist, Roberto Lueje, and Jorge Betancourt, a writer friend who introduced me and with whom I was talking a bit about books and publishing. 😉 The other person in the photo might not be familiar to you, but she prefer to remain anonymous. 🤣

More art. On a table... hahaha.... My friend and I went to cool off at Plaza Vieja, in the heart of Old Havana.

We chatted a bit there and I managed to take a few photos... but that will come at another time. I'm pretty tired and already late for this weekend commitment.
;)

Cheers!

I liked the pictures where your friend the handsome one appears (first two). That said, of course there are people trained to make life worse for others, some have years of experience and daily training to which they dedicate hours. They are professionals, and their compass, the truth is, I don't know where they have it.
About the heart, it's a good place for a compass, you just have to see where it takes you and the people who accompany you. ....
Cheers.
Oh. I'm sorry. I hope you have a great day. I think this compass isn't working properly.
Good morning.
Sorry for answering so late, I read your answer before going to work and I didn't know what to tell you... after hours I'm still the same.... Do it for me, say nice things to you.
A big hug @nanixxx
Maybe I misunderstood you or I was so tired and got the wrong energy. I thought you were uncomfortable at some point. I know that day to day life is often difficult for everyone. I tend to retreat into my own world. But when I go out I find such beautiful things... details like a little blue heart on the cheek of a statue. It makes me so happy... maybe you don't understand me, but it doesn't matter, it's not necessary to understand everything.
I have not felt annoyed at any time with the post, on the contrary. I was surprised by the response and misinterpreted it. I don't know, maybe it's the translator, but I liked the post, and more when I start the day with a good reading and some good photos.
A big hug.
Ah, what a relief. Thank you. 🙃
A hug grande.
Muchas gracias, otro gran hug de vuelta 😄
I love your writeup and truly it will encompasses in ones heart
☺️ Thanks for stopping by and welcome to my blog.
The worst thing you can do when someone tries to make you react is to ignore them. With practice, you get better.
I love all the art and the scenes look so beautiful.
I miss having a bicycle and I think I'm going to see if I can find a small folding one that I can store on the boat:)
Happy Monday!
Hey, you already told me that you wanted a bike. I thought you already had one. You're procrastinating! Lol.
Happy start of the week.
Yes, of course, practice makes perfect hahaha....
I'm gonna struggle to store the bike with an additional wheelbarrow that we're gonna get. Also, hubby is NOT keen on me going on the main roads because motorists here are fun of road rage and not so kind to motorists. However, the last thought I had before closing my eyes to sleep last night was that I want a bicycle 😆... so I'm gonna look online:)))
Here it's difficult to ride a bike as well. I've had to overcome a lot of fears and you know what that kind of courage brings back into your life. ;)
When I manage to buy my GoPro I will show the Havana city and how hard it is to ride a bike here.
Go for your dream. 🌟
I went to Havana for a week in 2007. I'd love to go back one day.
Whenever, I do, I'll be sure to tell you:)))
🤗
Wow, you sure had a great day. And that encounter with that artist was quite interesting.
Nice cold beers, great to go with the afternoon, I had some today too.
Cheers!
Yes, some things really do need to get moving for them to find us. Oh, yes, the beer. It was really good, we had two pitchers each hahaha... I don't know if it has nitro in it because then I pedalled faster to get back home.
You enjoyed that too, I see. Cheers!

I am sure that anonymous woman is not so anonymous! 😀
I like that artists work. Very distinctive
🤣
Hi, I'm going to visit you shortly as I've got you on the waiting list with the mango beer. Lol. I've almost just woken up and it's always so refreshing to read you.
He told me too that it's hard the path of art, I think his works have that stamp on them.
I agree the stamp is there!
I shall take you to the delightful company that brews the beer itself!!! 🙂🙂
Well, well, well! Art and more art, I'm fascinated, from the first sculpture, the pigeons and then well... what a wonder!!!!
There is an eye! I'm everywhere hahaha
You said you'd go out aimlessly as far as you go.... you got to much art!!!!😄
Hahaha... yes, you are everywhere. That's for sure.
I love it when I improvise and everything turns out so great.
Thanks, my friend.
I love it too!!!! And even more when it brings pleasant surprises!
Art has the potential of describing so many things, I love looking at art, since the meanings from art's are so big, nice as well for cooling off at plaze Vieja, it would be a very bored moment without refreshments.
Art is necessary in our lives because it inspires, it speaks to us and it also brings people together and enhances sensations.
The beers were good, but I assure you that there is a lot of movement in that square. Just by sitting there and watching the people go by, any boredom disappears.
You are right @nanixxx have a good time
Yes, these are messages that reach out and I feel I must share them for everyone, including myself.
Thank you Vezo. Have a nice day.
Gracias Vezo. Ten un lindo día.
That woman in the photo..... she looks very familiar, pretty sure I've seen her somewhere before .....
The compass inside you will always take you on the right path, do not fret!
Hahaha... that woman...
I will listen to you. Even though this heart hurts and sometimes feels so lost... maybe it's part of the process of finally finding the way one day.
🤗
I think I need to dedicate a whole post to them because they are wonderful and tasty. What happens is that I need to go back very soon to taste again 😅 and take pictures. 🤣
🤗 I loved meeting your family and Puppy, what a lovely dog. I also liked the energy of your house.
It was definitely a beautiful day yesterday.
Amandaaa, beer, art and a bike ride!!! All a good compendium for a memorable Sunday. Nice to see you like this, in activity!!! Happy week 🤗
And highly recommended @lileisabel chocolates... well, Alile chocolates to be precise and highlight the brand.
Gracias @nanixxx ☺️
😅
That beer looks very very inviting, the art has a weird perspective, almost child like and naive. hope your cycle home was not to wobbly
Well, no. I ate a peanut bar and curiously the two pitchers of beer I drank gave me the strength to get home faster, before it got dark. I arrived home at almost 9pm... 😁
What you say about art, maybe. But it still provoked many sensations in me. And this is significant for me. He explained to me that some works are more mannered... that is to say, he softened his style. That's why he pointed that one out to me as his favourite, because he considers it to be stronger in its expression.
They say beauty is i the eye of the beholder, some peeps like certain stuff others don't which is great everyone is different.
Beer always gets you going LOL
😌😉 Thank you.
Riding a bike is very liberating and well... I've always been into sports, maybe that's why I feel like I need to exercise and this is a very thorough workout. Plus transport is awful. I prefer not to depend on anyone. And on the other hand... how nice the legs get hahaha..... 😁
For years I used to ride my bike but a Chinese man fell on my back and stole them all, 3 at least...I said goodbye to them until today, although I admit that physically I felt great...
Today I'm content with my morning stretching exercises...
Although I'd prefer something heavier than a bike to get me moving, maybe in about 65 thousand millennia I'll get there...😂
Nice afternoon @nanixxx
It is Deep(L)y sinister what the English translator does with our Spanish phrases. 😂
