That beast called time

Time, as we understand it, consumes us. Yet there’s something...something that, if we hold it clearly, if we sense it deep inside, acts like an antidote to that beast called time. And then you look into the mirror and see beyond yourself. It’s like passing through your own being. I’ve felt that lately…

😉

Yes, my friend, this post is for you. The walk and the horses—who will remain absent for now—are dedicated to you, @enraizar. And not because I see you as part of my audience 😅, but because (I wrote this a few days ago): The spider lost its shadow when it entered the shade, and when it returned to the light, it bowed. So, I understood that it was revering its own shadow, its own life.

Street photography is incredible because we capture moments that are impossible to be captured again. Good shots 📸

Yes, you're right. And they are also a valuable testimony over time. Thank you. ☺️

Beautifully written. I love how you describe time not just as something that passes, but as something we can reclaim through awareness. It really makes me pause and think.❤️

It happened to me that I had been having intrusive thoughts for days, and every time I looked in the mirror, I saw myself looking older, worn out, without strength... When I finally let them go, I went back to the mirror and there was a glow, a lightness that I knew I had to hold on to.

Thank you!

What you wrote about shadows is brilliant; many disappear into their own shadows. Good idea for a community of horizons. A photograph that shows shadows but also realities. Excellent!

You think you have all the time in the world, and when you least expect it... boom, goodbye feathers haha they turn into shadows, shadows that can only be seen in the light, standing out and saying: “I'm here” 🦉

Exactly. In your conversation with the plum tree, you talk about how we waste time and enjoyment thinking about things that have already happened or won't happen. And this is very much related to what I wrote here.
Whenever we are in the light, we will see shadows. And even more so if we are essentially brilliant beings like you!

Excellent photographs that capture the day to day of our old and tired Havana, with the mute walk of people who only leave shadows and regrets in their wake, what impressed me the most was the size and the coat of the cat and to see him so calm being one of the animals that run before the traffic of people.

Good morning @nanixxx, this time you left me with one word: THANK YOU.

About the photographs, I guess they were from yesterday or maybe from any other day... people walking, sleeping, looking... some living in the shadows, others accompanied by their own.

Thank you.
